This is my guess, too. Or let me say, I hope so much it will push the record sale.

Doesn't the fact that MCA didn't ship enough of the set hurt sales. How many people wanted a set but couldn't find it ? Let alone buy it.
I never have understood those charts.
It seems to me most radio stations cater to the younger audience and don't play Vince as often as new younger singers. The Philly station here though had an interview& Vince sang a number of songs from the set(it was awesome to hear him singwith just his guitar) smile.gif before his concert here. And they've been playing his older stuff as well as the new single.
Maybe we should call our local stations and request The Reason Why or the new one" what you give away".

Well, on all the other charts, "The Reason Why" continues to gain in spins- even though it is still at #30 on the Mediabase chart. I'd just keep calling or emailing requests for it. I wouldn't ask for "What You Give Away" yet- only because that hasn't been released as a single yet(and might not be). As for the album chart- if you look at the other albums on it, most took a drop- think Dierks only sold something like 19,000 copies last week- two weeks after selling something like 88,000. Urban's album will probably be #1 next week, but you should see an increase in sales from all the acts who were in the CMAS if past years are any indication.

Very true Mary Anne.

FYI: On the "media chart" at
# 68 is "What You Give Away" (44 spins)
&
# 89 is "All Prayed Up" (30 spins)

Yes very limited spins but on the chart non the less smile.gif
