As a diligent chart follower, I've been hoping and hoping that "The Reason Why" would crack the Top 40 on the Billboard chart. The song has been hovering in the 44-42-41 range for a few weeks.
Well ~~ on the Nov. 4th chart, the song takes a 6 spot leap to land at #35 on the Billboard Country Singles chart!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!! |

Yes, it is great news Hilary. That's actually this week's chart, so hopefully it will continue to climb. They do have the chart information on the news page here- if you scroll down on the right.

Great news .Thanks Hilary .
This morning Imus said that the box set was #4 on Billboard and Deirks Bently was #1. He added, "Nothing against Deirks, but Vince Gill should be # 1 . He played The Cold Gray Light Of Gone. I don't think, since he got the set, that there has been one day he hasn't raved about it . At least every show I've seen and I watch almost every morning . -------------------- "Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it a rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul."

Wow. I seem to hear about Imus all the time. Many of the customer reviews on Amazon say "heard about it on Imus". It seems like Imus has a pretty large following and that Vince is getting a lot of publicity via that show. That's great! |

That's very true Charlie. Imus is on radio and as far as I know has the only radio talk show that is on television.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036713/ I have been watching him for years and he is a hugh country music fan. I really think if he were to get behind a movement for a country radio station in N.Y.C. there would be one there. He can be outrageous at times ( and down right crude, rude and socially unacceptable ) but he is a really good person and he and his wife do a great deal of charity work for children .You might want to read about him on the web site. Brad Paisley is due to be on next month but I missed the day. Catch it in the morning . -------------------- "Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it a rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul."
