I have never watched any program featuring Reba. I think she is very talented, but, why does she continue to use that awful accent that is so unacceptable. Other Oklahomans have all moved on and, you would never hear an accent uttered from Carrie, Garth, Vince, Toby or others. Why does Rebas continue to speak with this vocal problem? MONEY I don't know..........any answers?

I think that accent is just part of Reba and maybe the others you mentioned never had an accent like hers. She's always had it and you can even hear it in her singing.I'm thinking its just a natural way with her.

Even if most Okies have dropped the accent they still have a southern twang to their speech and living in Ohio so close to W. Va I can clearly hear the southern accent, though not as thick as states further south, through my relatives in the West Virginia state.

I believe her accent makes her singing voice special and along with fellow Oklahoman Vince they have in my opinion the most popular unique and angelic voices. Yet I also would mention Dolly who has an exceptional heavenly voice of crowning glory when it comes to native/talking accents carrying through to the singing voice.

I have great respect for people who are comfortable in their own skin be it the way they talk or what they wear ie some of Vinny's shirts and shorts . I have a picture with him and the shirt he has on not many men would wear it because of all the colors in it .I wanted that shirt so bad.He just laughed when I ask him for it . What can I say he is an amzing person.
