I know but I have heard they didn't even want that song on the cd but they wanted the cd called Guitar Slinger ??????? Did you know Vince has left MCA.Don't know if there was conflict or he just wasn't picked up/or he chose to leave .I look for him to maybe have his own label....like Vinny Mae

Anna,

He said that at the Fan Club Party. I think Larry Fitzgerald was the one who suggested the title "Guitar Slinger" and then MCA didn't want the song put on the album! As for Vince leaving MCA, his contract was up and I bet he chose not to renew, especially after that little problem with them not even wanting to put Guitar Slinger on the album. If I remember correctly, Vince suggested the title to MCA, after Larry Fitzgerald suggested it, and MCA thought it was a good title, but they didn't want to put the song on the album, and Vince said "how can you call the album that and then not put the song on the album?!"

Doesn't make a lot of sense does it ? Maybe he'll start his own label .

Very interesting, indeed! My gut tells me he chose to leave the label and I too hope he starts his own. I always wondered why MCA wouldn't release some of his songs to other genres. It's all been extremely frustrating. Here's to the future!!!

He has a plan, I'm sure. That's why he built the recording studio in his home. Thinking ahead!! smile.gif
