Think I would have to agree on the wedding songs. However, I love ALL of Vince's music. Never heard him do anything I didn't like.

Hands down, Look At Us and I Still Believe in You. Those are two of my favorite VG songs.

When my son got married a few years ago he knew how I loved Vince so he ask me to write down some VG songs that I would like the DJ to play. Of course I filled up a whole sheet of paper, lol.

I remember I was talking to my daughter-in-law's grandmother and I heard the start of If You Ever Have Forever in mind and I said Excusue me I've got to go find David and dance to Vince's song. She laughed because even she knows how much I love Vince's music. When I got to the DJ he said this song is for you. I started to tell him just to keep the VG songs coming the rest of the night. wub.gif

I have a new one... I just heard Vince sing "Give me Jesus" at a wedding in New Mexico... He said it was the first time he had ever sang that song at a wedding. The father of the Bride played the piano while Vince sang and the Bride was weeping with tears...as was most of the audience.
It was an amazing experience...

I forgot to mention.... Corrina was a flower girl in the wedding(along with about 7 or 8 other kids)... She is cute as a button and really thought she was big compared to the 2,3, and 4 year olds...

Lynn, How did you come to be at the wedding? Friend's,relative? I would have just cried my eyes out . That is so beautiful. He sang it at our luncheon in Nashville and I am telling you,you could have heard a pin drop. Just that voice and his guitar, awesome. I am sure it was wonderful to hear it with piano too. I would like to hear him sing it with out accompaniment

Vince and Amy have friends in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico that they visit on occasion. I think Amy's nanny is the main connection. I'm just a friend of a family member. What was neat is not many even knew the Brides father could even play the piano... It sounded almost as good as when Vince sang the song on the Grand old Opry a while back.

Of course anything Vince sings is good... He has to be one of the most gracious and generous artists there is...

What a beautiful song for a wedding. I love to hear Vince sing "Give Me Jesus". He has such a peaceful voice anyways and it just makes you sit and contemplate the love Jesus has for you. Wow, Corrina and 6 or 7 other kids - must have been a huge wedding. I think Corrina will be big like Daddy. Jenny isn't huge by any means, but she's big boned like Vince.

I also think "Whenever You Come Around" and "If You Ever Have Forever In Mind" are great wedding songs.

Good for you Deb - having Vince played at your sons reception. My son wouldn't have even thought about it - it might make Daddy a little jealous. LOL

'Give Me Jesus' is one of my absolute favorites to hear Vince sing...the song is so simple and yet so meaningful...I do hope that Vince will consider recording this song one day. Listen to me...the new cd project hasn't even been released yet and I already want Vince to record more songs....LOL!!!

Yes, he is. That is what I think draws people to him. He is so gracious and not into himself.

Anyway it is always very nice to hear stories about Vince and Amy doings. Must have been exciting for you to have been there. Thanks for sharing.

Becky,I know you remember him singing it at the luncheon. My friend's daughter is not easily impressed but I will tell you one thing. That song brought tears to Tamra's eyes. I am so glad she could come because she had never seen Vince in person and she is not a country fan but she had some really nice things to say about our Vinny.

Happy Anniversary BJ. Hope you had a great day. I love those songs too.

Happy anniversary, Brenda!!!

Anna, that is great that Tamra was so impressed with Vince. I'm not sure that there were many dry eyes when Vince sang 'Give Me Jesus' that day...or 'Go Rest High'...those are the 2 songs that Vince sings that always 'get to me' the most.

I love 'I Still Believe In You'...I have that as my ringtone on my phone when Bruce calls me...I have several Vince ringtones on my phone, so I set different ones for different people...but I always reserve 'I Still Believe In You' for Bruce!!! It's funny that all of the people at my dentist and orthodontist's office know that I'm a huge Vince and Amy fan...everytime I see them, they always ask me when I'm going to see them next..LOL!!!

Thanks again. sure doesn't seem like it has been that long. I am not that old. Just 51. I got married when I was barely 17. Back then people got married younger. There were several married couples in my senior class in High School.
