Vince Gill songs Options

I just cannot understand why many of Vince's 'These Days' did not get into the top ten. Radio does not understand. They just keep playing George Strait.......which all sound alike and AJ.......which is still putting out good music.........but they ignore one of the best voices in Country Music. Very sad state of affairs.

I agree. Radio stations don't seem to rotate any of his songs unless it's thrown in during a 1hr morning, lunch, weekend, holiday or special recap. It is rare if even then for airplay of his songs. Mainstream commercialism or overcorrectness since the Nielson SoundScan era is another notch in the coffee table. Only here hit singles from albums between "When I Call Your Name" and "When Love Find You" and then only his #1's might only get played esp. one of my faves, "I Still Believe In You". Why not add some scuff marks too considering his last album the expansive "These Days" did not get the airplay it should have had not to mention other hits including the ones from his early years in the 80's (like Cinderella or Oklahoma Borderline). What you now have is a worn out coffe table of pet peeves from "well, Radio won't play Vince anymore because he sounds too high or old-fashioned". He's not the only artist (e.g. Ricky Van Shelton) and I doubt he will be the last to get snubb at "Country Radio" this decade and on. So now we just have to keep up the requests and spread the word even further than before when new singles arrive in the future, if any (hint to Vince, I can't get enough of your music). Other than that no hard feelings to Country Radio just more respect for Vince.
