Another great concert from the best
Vince seemed tired but the only way anyone would know it is if you had seen him many times and as always he was very funny .He is doing a lot of his older music and the audience loves the songs as I do .I would love it if he would do a lot of his newer ones as well .I read where Jenny was catalouging his songs and she ran across a cassette of Vince and Her Grandpa singing Country Roads.How priceless it would be to hear that one . The instrumentals are out of sight but for me his beautiful voice and sense of humor are the attraction ......well he is a great looking guy too and he has the greatest hair ever Show started with One More Last Chance and ended with his traditional Liza Jane . Everything between was super fantastic . He did Bread and Water after Go Rest High and told more about his brother's accident than I had ever heard . His brother was only 21 when he had the accident .He was just about really to graduate college .So sad . Bread and Water brought tears to my eyes . Pretty Little Adriana did the same . Knowing how the songs came about to me determines some emotional level.He sang that song exceptionally well but he always does . He did If I Die and as usual gave praise to a young woman songwriter he wrote it with . Vince has always been a great writer and there are songs his public will never hear .I tried to talk a lady into buying These Days .There's songs on that album that are so awesome it's hard to comprehend someone can have that much natural talent .Some Things Never Get Old to me is a song that should have been released to radio and played over and over . Sidenote ....Vince forgot the start of that song but quickly recovered and did a fantastic rendition .Made fun of himself .Did the Lips song . All in all it was a far out night and some of my family and a friend were there with me and you can't get better than that . P.S. I think Vinces recent writing very much reflects Amy's influence in his life . Anna,
Sounds like you had a great night seeing & listening to the amazing music of Vince! You didn't mention your M&G, but I guess you did get to talk to him as well. So glad you had fun. If you have a new picture, would love to see it on FB. He probably is rather tired since he's hitting lots of cities on this tour. He stays constantly busy no matter where he is. He's very young at heart, but through experience I know as the years creep up on us, we can tire lots easier  I cannot wait to see him in January! It's been too long, and I'm SO looking forward to it! Thanks for the report! |

Anna, I'm so glad you were able to go to the concert. Sounds like Vince still mesmerizes us after all these years. He's just one of those people that you instantly gravitate toward - his music, his humor, his loving for his fellow human beings. The one thing that really touched me, after his voice, music, good looks, etc. LOL was his ability to show his emotions in public. What a great guy, his willingness to do what he feels right over what he thinks everybody else wants him to be or do is the main part of his personality.
Didn't you get a M&G? If so, tell, tell and show some pictures. You know those of us that haven't gotten to see Vince in a while need that desparately. LOL -------------------- Love, Debbie
