Vince's Hollywood WOF Star Ceremony, Sept. 6 Options

Found out last night at Vince's show in Austin that his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony is set for Sept. 6. Just wanted to let everyone know for anyone in So. Cal or can make it out there that day.

YW, Rhonda. Yes, I had a VERY good time, although I think we were sitting in the "weirdos" aisle...had the grumpy old woman on one side of us, the ACL Wino on the other, and "The Vince Gill Pentecostal Worshipper" two seats down from the wino. That guy just kept at least one arm in the air the whole second half of the show...like he was at a Pentecostal Worship service or else he thought if he kept his hand raised, Vince would answer a question for him...uh, don't think so, it was a concert, NOT a Q&A session. At one point the guy put both arms in the air, and at one point, he jumped, then he was stomping his feet....he was either crazy, drunk, or crazy drunk...probably the latter. The ACL Wino wouldn't stop getting up and down from his seat to go get beer. My father said he must have had about 6 or 7 by intermission or just after, and he had gotten up AGAIN before the show was over and proceeded to step on Grumpy Old Lady's foot. You should have heard her yell at him...it's a wonder the whole theater didn't hear her yell even over Vince singing!!! Then when the guy came back from getting his beer, she said to him, very loudly, something like "you watch my feet, don't you dare step on my foot you s.o.b." Now, mind you, these aisles were VERY narrow and she was sitting catty corner in her chair, not even straight where she could move her feet back...of course she had to mention when we went to get into our seats that she had had a stroke so we were to make sure we didn't step on her or hit her or do anything to cause her "grief"...although a little beep on my camera from the shutter button drove her absolutely CRAZY and she said to me that "I drove her son off" because of the beeping on the camera. Well, he didn't say ONE word to me about it, and over the music and Vince singing I didn't even hear it until SHE brought it to my attention while Vince was talking and I was taking a picture. Other than the people we were sitting in the aisle with, the show, and Vince, were FANTASTIC!!! 3 Hours of PURE Vince, they made him take an intermission though...sounded like he had no choice but to do the intermission...

Sounds like you had some interesting characters around you. Glad you didn't let then spoil the show for you!

oh yeah, they were interesting characters! NOTHING was going to spoil Vince's show for me...I just switched seats with my father to get away from that lady. Only thing I can think of is that she was wearing hearing aids and it was picking up the beeping. Don't think we'll be going down to Austin for anymore shows, though...it was too congested down there. Next time we may just head down to Houston depending on what day the show is...or even San Antonio, but that was a mess in Austin. We also wound up getting there later than we planned because we had to stop and get gas and the gas station was crowded.

I read that Ellen Degeneres will get her STAR Sept 2012 while the news stated that she will gets hers next year 2013. Which means her star begins Sept 6 two days before Vince will gets his othrwords she will upstaged him.
