Full Version: Babysitting Logan

Hey guys, I haven't been on the board as much as I use to but my days are busy with Logan. I was planning on babysitting Logan two days a week and they were going to take him to another babysitter the rest of the week. The problem with that was she had a child in school and two little ones at home, that would have been okay but she had to travel about 20 miles a day one way to take her son to school and then go and get him in the evening. That would have been four children in the car with her.

I didn't want to interfere but I couldn't help it. I told Mitch and Jen that I would be willing to stay with Logan until they could find someone that they could drop him off and then he would stay put for the day, lol. It's a little hard. We live about 35 minutes from them. I'm getting up a 5:00 a.m. and David goes this way to work. He drops me off and then picks me up in the evenings. Sometimes it's 7:00 before we get home.

When 5:00 rolls around I:m like oh I have to get up but once I get here and see Logan's beautiful smile it's all worth it. Mitch and Jen later told me they didn't really want to take Logan to the other lady because of the traveling but they thought it would be too much to ask me to come all week. It all worked out anyway because the lady and her family are moving to Washington State in two weeks. The babysitter they had chosen first decided not to do it at the last minute so they went with this lady.

All I can say is it is worth EVERY minute that I get to spend with this little one. He is such a joy and everyday it seems he does something new. I LOVE it. There is nothing that compares with being a Grandma.

I am on their computer now and he is playing in one of his toys now.

Sorry so long but just wanted to let you know where I have been and what I have been doing.

Logan still likes to hear me sing Vince's version of Blue Christmas but right now his favorite song is Old McDonald Had a Farm. smile.gif
