Josh Turner??????????? Give me a break!!!! If there's a category Vince should be nominated for EVERY year it's Male Vocalist!!!! You can argue the other catergories but not Male Vocalist!!!!!

I felt the same way when he didn't get that nomination with the ACMs but they always find a way to ignore Vince. But what is going on with the CMAs? How in the world can Vince not be nominated in the Male Vocalist category? I think it's been since 2000 or 2001 that he was nominated in that category. Just what are they listening to? I actually like Josh Turner's voice but I don't understand why they nominated who they did. I expected the album nomination. They would have looked stupid if they didn't nominate him in that category.

I totally agree! Vocally none of the nominees can hold a candle to Vince. I'll be floored if he doesn't win for album.

I think one of the reasons that Vince didn't get a nomination for male vocalist of the year is the fact that he didn't have a "hit song" on the radio. Remember that this is the final ballot- there were two before this one and I'm sure his name was there- he just didn't get enough votes.

I was just hopeing for at least 2 . Now all he has to do is win them . Something is terribly wrong with their voting system if he doesn't win for These Days . I agree about the vocalist .No one has the voice he does .

I always thought Male Vocalist was supposed to be the best singer. Now it looks like the definition has changed. They just pick the five singers that are popular at the time even if they aren't great singers.

I agree They pick The HOT artists and it has nothing to do with how well they sing.They can't touch Vince for talent! These guys out there now have smart managers that play to what they think makes the public like the artists lol want a hit record sing a song about the USA ,Jesus or the other way Cheating,beer,Have a big fan blow your hair and people will say how great you are! lol oh yea Don't forget to wear tight pants or very little clothes .Blonde hair helps alot so does screaming the chorus.I'm fed up with vince being ignored! Don't forget, you guys -- Vince won Male Vocalist for, like 5 years in a row during that phase of his career. Remember that he still holds the record for the most CMA awards of any solo artist - 18!!!

Well, at least the CMA's got THAT right! His singing, his playing are both phenomenal. But the part I like the best about Vince Gill is he seems to be a genuinely wonderful human being.
