It is hard to believe but I just celebrated my first year as a fan club member. I joined last December and I have to say that although I have not gotten to meet Vince yet it is still great being a part of this great fan club with so many nice people. I have loved his music for many years and it has gotten me thru alot of ups and downs and one day I will get the chance to do the meet and greet and that will put the icing on the cake. I am not able to get on here alot but when I do it is so nice to read back about what is going on with everyone and learn new things about what is going on with Vince that I had not heard. Thanks to all of you for making this a great site and sharing so many stories and I have shared a few myself. I've been around for about 100 years now, and let me tell you, you missed A LOT over the years for not being with us. This group is a tight-knit group and very friendly. So many of us go WAAAAAAAY BACK, and my goodness the fun we have all had!! Stick around with us - maybe we'll get to meet someday!

Can you believe that some of us have been here for 10+ years now?!! I can't remember if the first VG.com mb went online in 1996 or 1997, but I do know that it was in conjunction with the release of High Lonesome Sound. Time flies when you're havin' fun, doesn't it!

Val - it may have been 1996. I know the two of us are definetely not rookies on this board. It's been fun, huh.

(on the other note: my trip was FANTASTIC!) I saw snow, and lots of it, and this is probably my 4th or 5th time in my life to see snow!!!!!! NO JOKE!!!!!!!! See, on the Gulf Coast ---- we just don't see that much snow!

No, we're not rookies, and yes it has been fun! Hopefully the fun will continue for many more years!

Glad you had a good trip...and I know what you mean by no snow on the Gulf Coast...we didn't see that much of it in FL, either! Don't think it snows too much here in Central TX, either, although we had our share this past Easter...that was only like my second or third time in my life to see snow.

What a sweet post debbie! Glad that you did decide to join the fan club and all of us fun and crazy Vince fans. Once you see Vince live for the first time you can't help but be hooked. He is an incredible performer and all round person.
Hope our paths get to cross one day debbie. As a result of this fan club I have met so many amazing people that I am so happy to call very dear friends.
