Thought some country music trivia might be fun...I thought up this question while watching Country's Family Reunion...this was mentioned on the show.

Good topic,Valerie . I think it would have to be Bill Anderson due to the fact he has been around for so long and is such a prolific writer. Any how that's who got my vote. I kow Vince has had some songs recorded by others but he mainly records his own . At least that is my opinion .

I'm with you Anna, I voted for Bill Anderson too. He does have alot of songs out there. He is an awesome song writer. As is our Vince but I think the answer is Bill.
Great question, Val!

I'm going to wait until the beginning of February to give you guys the correct answer to see if more people take a guess.

Those who said/voted for Bill Anderson are correct. I knew Bill Anderson wrote a lot of songs but until I watched the Family Reunion show I didn't know that he was country's most recorded songwriter. I know he's had at least a few of his songs cut by Brad Paisley (Too Country and I'm pretty sure he co-wrote Whiskey Lullabye with Jon Randall), Steve Wariner recorded Tips of My Fingers (which Vince did bgvs on btw), and he co-wrote a few of Vince's songs w/ Vince.

Valerie,
You are correct. Bill Anderson and Jon Randall co-wrote Whisky Lullaby.
I just LOVE that song.

Another bit of info . I think Steve Wariner did Tips Of My Fingers/Vince on background vocals but does anyone remember Johnny Tillitson ?? He did that song ( and Roy Clark had his version too ) years before Steve and it is a Bill Anderson song . Bill has written some awesome songs .
