On Sunday morning we'll be off to spend a week in Hawaii. We're staying on Kauai. I'm not looking forward to the 9 hour plane ride over there, that's for sure. I'll have LOTS of pictures when I get back...at work I've had a request to see pictures, a request for a lei and a tip to not bring back any lava...it's bad luck.

Have a great time, Val. I still have great memories of when my grandmother took me many years ago - we went to Oahu. It was a longer flight for us, from JFK we had to change planes in SF. I hate to fly over oceans so I was real nervous until we touched down in Honolulu. Hope you're feeling better for your trip.

Thanks everyone! I'll have plenty of pictures when I get back and I'll upload them somewhere...facebook, photobucket...somewhere. I will be thinking about all of you and if I have access to a computer w/ internet, I'll be checking in every so often.
Still not feeling all that great for the trip but hoping the nice weather and sun will help me get better. I'm still all congested and I coughing up all that phlegm has given me a little bit of a sore throat. Plus I still get tired out easily. I really think the antibiotics didn't work completely, but the side effects were so bad that P.A. told me to not take them anymore. IF I'm not feeling better when I get home, IF I get the days off from work that I was supposed to have, I'm going back to the dr. to see if he can give me some different antibiotics or something, it's been over a month now that I've been sick and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!

I wouldn't be looking forward to the long flight either Val, but I think I would do it for a chance to go to Hawaii. I really hope you start to feel better so you can enjoy such a great vacation. Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

That's fantastic, Valerie - I loved my week with a friend in October.
