The Bluebird Cafe kicks off its month-long BirdSongs fundraising series with two star-packed in-the-round performances on June 1.

That night's 6 p.m. show features songwriters Sonny Curtis ("I Fought The Law"), Richard Leigh ("Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue") and Jim Weatherly ("Midnight Train To Georgia"), and it is followed by a 9 p.m. show with Nashville Songwriters Association International Hall of Famer Don Schlitz, Country Music Hall of Famer Vince Gill, Gospel Music Hall of Famer Amy Grant and special guest Mary Chapin Carpenter.

The late show is nearly sold out, with ticket prices set at $101, while the early concert sports a $10 ticket fee and some seats still available (as of this posting) through www.bluebirdcafe.com.
