Just a heads up topic as Kristy Yamaguchi's show will be on NBC 4-6 PM today. I am definitely going to be watching it as they are also going to have the children of the skaters on. Amy Grant will sing but did not say if any of the family or Vince would be at it. Ken and Betty had said that they will going to the show when it was taped the first of December but did not see anything by Ken how the show was or if they did actually get to go.
Just thought some of you would like to watch although not sure if all likes skating. I am a great skating fan and have been for years and years and always go to the Stars on Ice show when it comes near.

Thanks for the heads up, Lona. Since I'm pretty much iced/snowed in today, I'll have to make sure I catch this show! I have seen some of the others this season, not all of them---mostly bits and pieces. Kinda cool how they do the live performance with the skating!

Just a head up, check your local listings. I checked last night and we get it at 1 p.m. not at 4 p.m. so it depends when your local channel decides to show it.

FYI, Vince was not there. The show was taped when Vince was on his way back from Vegas.

It was a beautiful show (2 p.m. here in Az.) and Amy was really good and beautiful as usual . I loved all the children of the skaters. The girl whose husband passed away a few years ago, I couldn't believe her oldest daughter and how grown up she is now. Such a pretty girl and a very good skater. I think we will be seeing 2nd generations here very soon ,for the Olympics.It's one of my favorite spectator sports. Love it.

We watched too...I think it was absolutely the best skating show we've seen in a long time..and we watched several that were on right around Christmas-time. The kids were so adorable, the skating was awesome and the music couldn't have been better!!! Ok, well, maybe it could have been better if Vince was there too...but we all know that Vince was busy with his Vegas shows around the time this was taped...excellent show..we'll be keeping the portion of Amy singing off of it...of course!!!

It was a great skating and musical show. I thought it was very well put together. I think Kristi Yamaguchi has been a long time fan of Amy's and no doubt Amy felt honored that she would invite her to perform on such a show with such ice skating greats. But the added fun of their children being there with them and performing along with their parents was probably another reason Amy was chosen because of her close family ties. I thought Amy and her band did a great job. It was fun getting to hear "Big Yellow Taxi" live and I hadn't heard "Children of the World" in quite awhile, so it was a really nice bonus for me and to see mother and daughter skating to it together, tugged at the heartstrings. I never tire of hearing "Stay For Awhile" and the topping on the cake for me was Kristi doing an outstanding job of skating to Amy's beautiufl vocals on "I Will Remember You." It was nice to see her get some national exposure on a tv station that I could actually get and tape from. I'll be keeping the entire two hour pgm intact.
