Are there any plans for "The Reason Why" to be shipped to AC radio? VG is hardly a stranger to the format and the song would certainly fit the format. After all, TD is not just a country album ... oops, albums!

Well - we have discussed this subject on the board (and heard rumors that "Faint Of Heart" might be sent to smooth Jazz stations etc...) but I don't know (have not seen anything official).
I think it's a great idea though - send songs to as many formats as possible to get as much airtime for this diverse set.
I agree:
"Reason Why" easily fits into A/C (as do a ton of other songs on the CD set - especially from the "groovy" CD fron the set).

Songs could be sent to A/C stations, others to Americana, jazz, pop etc....and then even more folks with diverse listening tastes can discover the music of Vince Gill! smile.gif

That would be soooo wonderful. If his record company is NOT planning to do this, it would be a travesty, I tell ya! With a project like These Days, with so many different styles, it would be INSANE not to release some of the songs to other formats. I keep waiting for news that this is going to happen. Come on!!!!

I totally agree with the above. I said when I first heard These Days, there are songs on the set that would never be heard unless they send ,for instance, Faint Of Heart to a jazz station. This may be the only one that would fit into my thinking that would be like it was when Vince did the song with Barbra S. Country will not play it because it's jazz and jazz won't play it because it isn't on Diana Krall's record.

I don't know ,it makes me crazy.Every time I think about Vince's last 3 records I just get furious. There's so many great songs on those records and unless people buy them ,they'll not be heard.
