Vince made it really big in all categories of the Nashville Scene Magazine Annual Music Critic Issue. There is also a short story on Vince. What's really the coolest is they rated him the #1 Nashville Songwriter! Congrats to Vince! Here's the link:

Thanks Maggie. That was a great article. It was interesting to read his opinion of the Dixie Chicks. I do like a lot of their music. But in my opinion, he shouldn't be second to anyone.

I think Vince Should Be #1 AJ over Vince No Way! lol AJ is ok so AJ fans don't get offended but this is a VINCE GILL fan Site and I think he is the best out there in music land.No one could sing and play any kind of music like Vince can and even just sit with his guitar and sound great! Vince has most always stood up for anyone that gets knocked for speaking out what they feel. He usually is pretty low key in that but I think feels we all have a right to our opinions.

I remember when Shania came to Nashville. Vince was one of her biggest supporters if not the biggest one. He said he thought that "They"felt she was so beautiful,she couldn't possibly have any talent. I believe Vince looks inside . I remember him saying,I guess she showed them, didn't she ?"

That is a very impressive list to be included on and I am sure he is plaesed with where he is.

You bet. Make sure you go to the link though, I only posted 3 categories out of about 8 or so....Vince was on a bunch of others. I just thought he (Vince) would be especially proud of being so high on - musician, songwriter and his "These Days" CD....areas he takes a lot of pride to show his true talents! (Everyone knows he's one of best singers around - but Vince takes such pride in his "craft' as a true musician and songwriter etc.)

Maybe because the reason I love Vinces music the way that I do is because Vince has heart and has the Ears! Heres to More No's 1's!!!
