Who on the message board has meet Vince? Where did you meet him and how was it? Gillgirl a big Vince Fan!

I think quite a few of us here have met him. I met him twice...first time in Perry, GA after his show, then in Pompano Beach, FL, again after his show there.

I met him in Vegas,Nashville(2 times) ,once in Phoenix and Mesa,Az. last Nov. Going to Laughlin,Nev. in May and hope to get to meet him again. It's something if you've never done you have to try very hard because this man is the real deal and sure lives up to his nickname of Sweetpea.

Ran into Vince in Nashville Feb. 6th. He signed a CD for me to give to the lady who's done alot for my very sick mother. THANKS VINNY!!!!!!

HI, I have met Vince 3 times....The 1st time in Munster,IN when he was touring with Amy a few yrs. ago at churches...then next times in Merrillville,IN at his concerts ..He is such a nice guy, so quite and laid back . He takes time for pics and autographs for everyone...Amy is also very sweet and down to earth..they were great together in concert...

Sorry to hear about your Mom ,Reggie. Bet that lady was thrilled . He is just the most accommodating person.

My fav time was back when Vince had his 1998 Basketball Game Vince said Hi Mandy thanks for all the candy grams you have made me enjoy them Lot. I all most passed out juat hearing Vince say my name. mandy

He does have a great memory,doesn't he ? People have ask me if he knows me ( I wish) .I tell them he does see a few more people in a years time. It was nice that he acknowledged you Mandy

I JUST WENT TO MY FISRT VG CONCERT IN LACROSSE, WI LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! WHAT A GREAT PERFORMANCE HE GAVE! IT WAS THE FASTEST 3 HOURS OF ANY CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I REALLY ENJOYED THAT IT WAS ALL VINCE AND NO OPENING ACTS! BUT THEN AGAIN, THERE IS NO ONE IN MY OPINION THAT COULD OPEN FOR HIM!!! I ALSO HAD A M&G AND HE IS THE WARMEST MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON TO TALK TO. VERY LAID BACK AND FRIENDLY. ALSO VERY HANDSOME!!! THANK YOU FAN CLUB FOR AN EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE TIME!

The Quad Cities concert in Davenport IA on Valentine's Day last Wednesday (2/14/07) was the 1st time for me to meet Vince Gill without his wife Amy Grant along.
He recognized me and told the audience I'd been giving his wife fudge for years and he was going to use the fudge I brought him as a comfort food since this was the 1st Valentine's day in 7 years that Amy was not able to join him.
I requested he sing "it's hard to kiss the lips at night that chew your *ss out all day long" and he shook my hand as he promised they'd play it later.... and they sure did, the 1st encore was that song....
He played for close to 4 hours with only a 10 minute intermission and we were THRILLED !
Their 1st show on the tour in Champagn IL was snowed out and Vince said they were stranded in a hotel without a restaurant so he was really READY to sing when he arrived at the Adler Theatre on Valentine's Day !
I look forward to hearing him in person again !

Hi Sarabiz you were so lucky to have met Vince at a m&G. I hope you had you picture taken with him. I met Vince in Oct. after the "best Vince Gill concert " I have been to! He signed my "These Days" CD and I had my picture taken with him. I agree with you he is so"handsome" and tall! Can I ask you a question? Are there alot of fans at the m&G? When you have met Vince and heard him in concert , that is something that stays with you for a long,long time, I have been to 3 of his concerts, but when i met him it was awesome a dream of my life time,
hope to meet him again, he is one beautiful personand is awesome music. glad you vgfs meet him.

Gillgirl,It all depends on the venue and how many people have M&G'S. You just never know. Sometimes it's like a whirlwind and you aren't really sure it happened but Vince never seems to be rushed. He can multi-task very well. Pictures,signing,answering/asking questions. Very quick witted. The M&G at Mesa show here in Az. ,were only allowing 1 picture and 1 signed article per person. Other times I have had 3 signed articles. It's always a pleasant experience.

THERE WERE ABOUT 25 -30 PEOPLE FOR THE M&G. THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF THE M&G WERE WORRIED BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT VINCE WOULD RUN OUT OF TIME TO SIGN AND DO PICTURES. IT WAS 6:00 AND HE WAS TO GO ON STAGE AT 6:30! IT WENT VERY FAST, BUT HE WAS VERY NICE AND GREETED US ONE ON ONE AND AUTOGRAPHED OUR ITEMS.

I first met him years ago when he was on tour with Kathy Mattea and he had just been inducted as an Opry member. I met him again around that time backstage at the CMA Awards. He's just such a "regular guy" around Nashville and I think the fact that he and Amy do stay so cool is why they inturn get such respect when seen out around town.
Keith and Nicole are getting to be like that, too.

I have met Vince 6 times in 13 years and thats not enough!. lol..Once I had met him and touched him, and heard his voice up close...a concert seat was second to a meet and greet pass!! lol..I have discovered that where there is a will there is a way. Don't get me wrong, I am not a stalker..lol...I only get to see him in Ohio or when we go to Nashville. This time I asked him if he ever gets tired of having to smile all the time at the meet and greets and he said, "Nooo, I have a lot to smile about". Doesn't that just sound like Vince?

Linda, I' think i posted before on here but we never get tired of hearing about Vince, and he does have a lot to smile about. I got to meet Vince back stage at YORK PA. OCT in 2005 and still can get up on cloud 9 but then i am 1yr younger than his MOM, she is has old as the OPRY 1925
he told me when i met him cause i'm 80 .now, hope to meet him again. i'm so glad for all of you fans that has a chance to meet him because he stays with you. ' I"LL bet you agree .

Thanks for the nice words about my mom. Vince has also made a phone call or two to my mom to cheer her up in the past.
