Hi. I New. I am a HUGE FAN of Vince Gill I was wondering when will his new box set is coming I can not wait.

I believe the boxed set will be out in October. I can't wait either- so exciting! It will be a late Birthday Gift for Me.

4 cds of all new Vince music.

He said each cd will have different genres of music. One will be Bluegrass, one country, and one will just ripping t up (His words ) .Yea!!!!!!! for ripping it up there is one of the cd's that will have Diana Krall and Vince singing Faint Of Heart.Remember they did it on the Opry online awhile back. I told him I loved it and they just knocked it out of the park on the Opry and he said wait 'til you hear it on the cd . Vince wrote or co-wrote all the songs and there will be various artist singing with him on some. Patty will be on it too. I am so anxious to get it. WooHoo. Come on Oct.

That is wonderful i can get it right before my Anniversary it will be 6 years for me and my husband i would love to hear tell me one more time about Jesus i heard it is really Good i know all of us are going to enjoy new music i hope they will put it here on the Club site for us to hear

Jenny,Vince said Give Me Jesus is not going to be on the new box set. He wanted to do the songs he has written or co-written. He sang it at the lunch and it was beautiful.

Anna, 'Tell Me One More Time About Jesus' is a song that Vince & Amy wrote together and it will be on the boxed set...it's not the same song as 'Give Me Jesus'...don't know yet whether it will be a duet song, but I'm guess it might be...Vince said that he had recorded at least a few songs with Amy for the boxed set...

Oh, I didn't know that. Sorry Jenny. I thought you meant Give Me Jesus. I've not heard the other one.

Just to clarify, I haven't heard the new song either...I asked Vince about 'Give Me Jesus' at the panel discussion for the opening of the Ray Charles exhibit at the HOF...that's when he told me that it would not be included on the boxed set and that he was only recording songs that he had written or co-written...he obviously saw my displeasure...I guess it was evident when I stomped my foot after he said 'No'...LOL!!! Anyway, that is when he told us that he and Amy had written a song called 'Tell Me One More Time About Jesus' and that it would be on the boxed set...the title sounds absolutely wonderful and I can't wait to hear the song!!! Also, when we saw Amy in Anniston several months ago, I was talking to her about the boxed set and I believe she mentioned this same song then...so, I've heard about it from both of them, but I haven't actually heard the song yet...I've heard about 5 new songs so far and I love them all !!! My only trouble now (LOL!!!) is that this is a 4 cd boxed set and I have a 6 cd changer in the car...!!! Guess I can always put 1 other Vince cd and 1 Amy cd in the other 2 slots..or I can put 2 Amy cds in there to kind of balance things out..LOL!!!

NASHVILLE--In an unmatched outpouring of virtuosity and energy, Vince Gill has created a 4-CD set of 43 new and original songs that MCAA Records will release Oct. 17 under the title These Days. The collection is an artistic tour de force that displays Gill’s mastery of lyrics and musical styles, ranging from traditional country and bluegrass to jazz and rock.



“I started looking at all these songs I had,” the amiable superstar explains, “and going, ‘Shoot, I want to record that song, and I want to record that song.’ I just kept checking with the other musicians to see if they were available. I had no deadlines, no rules or anything like that. So I just kept trying songs.”



To accompany him on this ambitious undertaking, Gill turned both to artists he knew and had worked with before and to those whose music he admired at a distance. “I never try to fill up my records with famous people,” Gill says. “I try to fill them up with the most talented people I can find on the face of the earth.” By the time the project was completed, that group included Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Diana Krall, Rodney Crowell, Phil Everly, the Del McCoury Band, Emmylou Harris, John Anderson, Lee Ann Womack, Jenny Gill, Amy Grant, LeAnn Rimes, Gretchen Wilson, Guy Clark, Trisha Yearwood, Bekka Bramlett, Michael McDonald, steel-guitar master Buddy Emmons and many other musical standouts.



Initially, Gill planned to pare down the songs he’d recorded to a single album. Then, in one of the studios he used, he spotted some Beatles memorabilia and recalled that the Fab Four had routinely released multiple albums within the same year.



Gill took the idea to Luke Lewis, Universal Music Group Nashville Co-Chairman, who totally supported his notion of multiple releases. In fact, Lewis came up with an even more radical strategy: he told Vince to go and record more songs that explore his passion for acoustic sounds and release a 4-CD set. And that’s exactly what happened.



Gill co-produced These Days with famed keyboardist John Hobbs and sound engineering whiz Justin Niebank.

I know Shirl. Seems like a life time.........Well not really but a long time coming. I just hope they get it out on the date so I can take it to get it signed. That is if I can get a meet and Greet at the Mesa ahow. I am really excited about getting to see Vince again and hear that new music. I've only heard Faint of Heart W/ Diana Krall that night on the Opry. Vince had also recorded that on a jazz album ..............The only vocal on Benoit/Freeman Project 2 .Awesome song . Fantastic somg writer.
