This lady just left this one on Amazon....unfortunate she feels this way.
I would ask anyone who has not left a review on Amazon to do so - or maybe ask friends who you gave the CD to etc. Let's try to bury it as soon as we can.
This lady gives a couple 4 & 5 star reviews to Toby K. but not to Vince....hmmmm? oh well.

I sort of revered the special voice of Vince Gill, but this 4-CD special was a total disappointment. With some exceptions, all the songs sound a bit monotonous and if you do not pay careful attention to the lyrics, they tend to sound repetitive. In one CD this may be excused, but we are talking about four! And the invited vocalists are just that, invited. They are not given a chance to sing duets with Vince and relieve the monotony. Boring. Yes - I tried once to do another and it won't let me....you have to be signed in with your password and email (then it checks once you try to submit). You also have had to bought at least one item from Amazon (anything) before they allow you to post a review of anything.

That's why we need to find other Vince supporters to just add reviews....in 3 to 4 more good reviews it will not be seen on the first page and Vince will continue to have a "5 Star" average overall!

It's still "5 Star" overall - but the first review customers see is this unfortunate ** review.

I checked out this "reveiwers" other reveiws- she gave 3 stars to Alan Jackson with some negative commnets, but gave both Toby Keith and Tim's latest 5 stars and raved about them. So , guess we know who her favorites are.

And let's be honest here...well my gut feeling....did she really buy the 4 CD set? Or just decide to listen to clips and give her "2 cents"....my gut feeling is she did not buy the CD. It's just she's a fan of Toby and Tim etc. Too bad.
However, she gave her opinion and that's her right.
We cannot expect everyone to love Vince's efforts (Heck, even I think "Let's Sure We Kiss Goodbye" CD is not his best effort).

Let's just try and get as many more good reviews as we can to make it "go away"! Also, to keep the overall "5 Star" average Vince deserves!

P.S. I would think the more "attention" this great set gets (& AWARDS) ....the more there will be a few out in left field that decide to "attack" it (for one reason or another - maybe "their" artists didn't win the grammy or the CMA etc, or even get nominated... and decide to vent on Vince). That's unfortunate, but it should be few and far between....and be more than out numbered by those that truly see and hear how good the set is.

Well, you are right.....she's entitled to her own opinion! Now, having said that....heh,heh, she obviously has no taste in music. Toby Keith is very limited in his abilities and all of his songs sound exactly alike! Oh, and I'd like to see if he can even PLAY a musical instrument! Vince is the real deal and has more musical talent in his pinkie finger than the other names mentioned in this woman's review. But again, we shall take the high road and rise above any negative comments. Obviously a lot of people recognize his abilities and his talent or he wouldn't be selling so many records and his concerts wouldn't sell out! I think this woman has had her ipod turned up so high she can't hear correctly anymore.........poor thing!

I called my father and asked him to do a review...he'll do it tomorrow because he's trying to sleep right now..he works the overnight shift, so he sleeps all day, wakes up to eat dinner, then goes back to sleep until he has to go to work.
