Is it just me that really likes the CD by the Notorious Cherry Bombs? I haven't seen anyone talk about it on this site. Forgive me but I just stumbled onto it about a month ago online. I've since bought the CD and really, really like it. I was really surprised when Vince sang "Hard to Kiss the Lips" at the concert I went to last month.
I hate to say this right now with Vince up to his ears in "These Days", and don't get me wrong, I LOVE THESE DAYS, EVERY ONE OF THE 43 SONGS! and will go to as many of the concerts as I can, but............I think it would be really great if Vince and Rodney toured the NCB record some day in the future.

What do you all think?

I love the CD too. Too bad it did not sell - better.
But I am sure if Vince & Rodney and crew wanted to hit the road, they could. I saw Rodney in Portland about a year ago. He was awesome.
Not sure if they would tour though.

Love the NCB record !!!

Vince & Rodney did do a Ryman concert together right after the NCB album came out. That concert was awesome!!! It was great seeing all the NCB's on the stage performing for the whole night!!!

Jackie,It's been out for some time now and we loved it. I have one and listen to it quite often. When it first came out we talked about it a lot. There's some really good songs on that CD.

I think I must have been asleep at the wheel, what with my son in Iraq in 2004 and 2006 and us retiring in 2005, I guess I just missed it!!! Geeeez!
Oh well, I'm glad I stumbled onto it when I did, it's a fantastic CD. Well, thanks for letting me know it was me and not the rest of the "Vince World" that missed it. God must have just steered me to it because I Love It!!!

Wow, that must have been a fun concert. I sure hope nobody mis-understands that I REALLY love "These Days", I was just really surprised to find the NCB record.

I loved IHTK but it got a bum rap because of narrow minded folks that did not like the word A.. I guess it's ok for a lot of the hot shot guys to say much worse but radio would not play iVince.I bet if the guys that are singing songs that have much nastier lyrics then that sang the same song radio would have played it.It is great album.People need to not get so upset about that word IMO!Like no one has ever said it pleeeeeeze lol hugs Mamabear

Thanks Mamabear! I feel the same way. I get pretty sick of the hypocrisy in the music business. Why is it ok for Toby Keith to "put a boot up your report me" But when Vince sings a darling song that happens to say it, it's somehow not ok!!! I just don't get it! Well, I go to my quilting room and I open the window and I crank it up so the whole neighborhood can hear it!!!HAHAHAHAHA! I'l be my own little personal radio station and play whatever I want!!!! LOL

Hey, vgfs, I love that cd too and i have it, and my local radio station played it has soon as they got it, If you listen to some of the country songs some of the words are a lot worse than what Vince has in the NCB

Oh my God, yes I saw the video!!!!LOL That is how I discovered the song then the album. My daughter and I were searching around the Web the night before our concert in Wabash. We pretty much stumbled onto the video and we were laughing so hard at it that we just kept playing it until the wee hours of the morning!! Then we captured a still from the video of Vince in drag, and we took it to the concert the next night. We had a meet and greet and when I met him I showed it to him and he cracked up, stopped everything he was doing and asked everyone in the room if they had seen the video. It was a lot of fun. He signed the picture for me too!!! Oh it was big fun!!! Lifetime memories!!
I agree with you on the lyrics of the other songs in country music. I guess I'm reminded of Vince's album, Next Big Thing. I guess if you're some young new "star", radio stations look the other way if you have foul language or inuendos in you music. It's all about money. That's why I love Vince's attitude so much. He has nothing to prove to anyone and he's secure in creating the music HE wants to. The result......he has a smash hit with "These Days"!!! HAHAHAHAHA! So again...he IS still the next big thing!! HAHA!!! I LOVE IT!

Boy You Are Soooooo Right on lol.... They could never hold a candle to Vince! I don't care how much money they make or how many #1s they getIt's all such a money game and real talent is ignored.If you got a cowboyhat ,dirty jeans,stringy blonde hair and a smirk on your face! people seem to think thats hot,The girls all are half naked and make violent videos and they become rich,I am no prude but boy they are soooooo lost! Oh yes, I love the NCB CD too. I think that song is hilarious "It's Hard to Kiss the Lips". I saw Vince sing it a couple of years ago on the Ryman. I just laughed & laughed, cause in my mind I can just picture it...then of course, there's the video he did...ha!


I must agree with you mamabear about the near naked girls in the videos that are out now...I try to turn it fast so my 9 year old won't find out too much too fast....but I think that's a waste of my time, these days.

Hi Jackie - the Notorious Cherry Bombs CD is one of my very favorites!! I think I've about worn the grooves off my CD from listening so much... I know one of the reasons the group didn't tour was because they're all so busy and diverse with their own successful endeavors and careers to make it all happen, but they sure had fun doing the CD. They're all so successful in their own right, it was more like a "lark" for them to put this together - and definitely a gift to us fans!
