About 2 1/2 years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer...she underwent a full mastectomy and has been taking some type of pill to keep the cancer from returning...I think she said that she has to take it for 5 years. Since she had the mastectomy she never had to undergo any kind of radiation or chemo, and the only problem she really ever had was with her arm because they removed her lymphnodes. Hasn't seemed to bother her in the past year or so, though.
