Bruce & I just came home from seeing X-Men 3 The Last Stand...must say this is a wonderful movie...Hugh Jackman does a brilliant job as Wolverene (again) and most of the regulars from the past movies were in this movie too. Alot of things happen very quickly in this movie, which is said to be the last one they are making...but they leave the storyline wide open for another movie in the future.

As a Patrick Stewart fan, I have loved him as Professor Xavier...he is a brilliant actor in anything that he sets his mind to do...Kelsey Grammar also makes a wonderful character 'The Beast', a combo of diplomat and beast in his blue skin, blue hair and for most of the movie, suit and tie...and how could I forget Halle Berry as Storm...she's incredible...!!!

If you've seen the other 2 movies, you won't want to miss this one, I promise..and if you haven't seen the other 2 movies, by all means watch them and then go see this one!!!

We caught a preview of another movie with Nicolas Cage...he will be staring in 'Ghost Rider', which is also a character from a Marvel comic book...the preview looked awesome!!! And I like Nicolas Cage...so this will be on my 'to see list' as well...

Still want to get to the theater to see 'RV' with Robin Williams...the previews looked like it would be really funny...

So..what movie have you seen lately and how was it??? Thanks for the review on MI:III, Charlene...still undecided as to what to do about this film...I might wait to catch it on cable...after all, we're paying over $100 a month for all the premium channels...I need to wait to see some of them on tv, just to get my money's worth!!! laugh.gif

My family loves the X-MEN Movies, but...sorry to say, I don't know why but I just haven't gotten into them.
And because I won't go to see it at the movies...lol...(my family is like fine....mom...whatever....lol....)They can wait till it comes out on video....

I did see RV I will post a review of it next...And also I will be going to see "Over The Hedge" tomorrow with all the kids...So I'll let you know....

Hubby, son & friend all saw this movie. Mixed reviews from them. Don't want to spoil anything so
won't elaborate on why one thought it was sad and the other two liked it alot.

My husband, son and sons girlfriend went a couple minutes ago to see XMen. My daughter and I decided to stay home. I would have gone, but just had a BBQ with sons GF parents, so I wanted to clean up and relax! I'll probably watch it on video when it comes out!
Becky
Yeah, I didn't want to give away anything about the movie, in case some plan to see it sometime...I was saddened quite a bit by the plot...but as Bruce told me later, we have to remember..these are comic book characters...just because something might happen to them doesn't mean they are gone!!! Ok, that's all I'm gonna say about it now...

I had to go see this movie simply because Patrick Stewart is in it!!! I don't know of a movie that Patrick has made that I haven't seen...there probably are some, but I keep looking for more of Patrick...he likes the live stage performances more than doing tv and movies tho..he is an excellent actor...no matter what he does...if you ever have a chance to see him do his one man 'A Christmas Carol' live...please go and see it...!!! He is excellent playing about 40 characters by himself...and it is so believable...not many actors can change from one character to the next so quickly and you can figure out exactly who is now, just by the way he looks and sounds...Bruce & I flew out to LA to see him do this show several years ago..and I've never seen another actor do anything like this...he is just plain amazing!!!

Becky,
My son, Ryan, loves the X-men movies and had seen the first two, but I hadn't seen either. Yesterday, he and I had the day to ourselves so we went to see the third one. I really liked it, and of course so did Ryan. I thought most of the acting was excellent, and it's kind of nice to see a fantasy/sci-fi kind of movie once in a while. I really enjoyed it. Tonight, I caught the last half hour of the second X-men, so someday I will have to watch the first two.

We also saw Mission Impossible. I didn't really care for the others, but I liked the new one.

blink.gif Not me . Never seen any of them . I'm not much of a movie goer but I do watch a lot on TV.
Becky
Glad you liked it Mary Lou...the first 2 XMen movies are well worth watching, if you liked the 3rd one...of course, as I said, I go to see these movies because of Patrick Stewart...but have to admit that I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine too!!! Watching the first 2 will give you a background/basis so that you will enjoy the 3rd movie even more. I have never cared for comic books, knew nothing about XMen or any of the characters, so I've had to get my comic book 'education' from Bruce...LOL!!! These movies are very well made, very well acted and the storylines are very good..if you enjoy watching movies like Superman, Spiderman, etc...these are really no different...it's all about the good vs. evil theme...but with a twist that each 'mutant character' has a gift or is different in some way...makes for extremely interesting movie watching!!!

Hey Becky,
Ry was there to fill in any gaps. I do like the Spiderman movies, and want to see the new Superman movie due out soon. Hugh Jackman is easy on the eyes, and Ryan and I joke about what powers we would want if we could be superheroes laugh.gif don't get the idea we spend a lot of time on this little game rolleyes.gif , but Ryan would most certainly want to be Wolverine. Maybe Ryan does spend a lot of time thinking about it!!
Becky
Yep...have to agree that Wolverine would be a nice character to get to know!!! I think Hugh Jackman is just perfect for this role. I have heard they don't plan on making any more XMen movies, but they sure left the door open to make another one sometime in the future...as we know, no one ever actually dies in the comics..so, there is hope, I guess!!!
Whenever You Come Around
I loved X-Men!!! That was such a great movie, too bad I missed the after the credits part.... I cant believe they actually had a part after the credits, dont they know people usually leave when the credits start??? lol.

Anyway, it was such a great movie, and you never know, there might be a number 4!!! From the ending I saw, and then the ending I heard about going after the credits, anythings possible!!!!

If your going to see it... STAY AFTER THE CREDITS!!!!!
