Charles Osgood did a piece on Martin guitars. The company employees 650 people at the Nazareth,Pa. facility. Fourth generation Martin family member is CEO and they have profit sharing for the employees. Each person has a unique job and I found this fascinating that these people can craft such a great piece for our enjoyment. It takes 6 weeks to 3 months to build just one guitar . One guy has worked there for 42 years. One lady 21 years. She said you never know where they will end up .One to Eric Clapton and the one with 2 holes in it to Willie Nelson who has no plans to replace his. Then of course there is our Vince. The lady said when you see someone playing it she wonders if she is the one who helped build that guitar. Good piece of little known facts
