I remember a few years back, when you (general public) were able to attend, Also you could have status(gold, silver, plat...etc) just by pledging money, as well...Oh well, thems were the days.....lol....

Yeah, i remember those days, too. I went back in '98. It was awesome beinf able to walk the course with so many famous people. Vince was very friendly and approachable and took time out to take a picture with me. I'm glad I got to attend at least one. Was a really neat experience.
