Well it sounds like there is some great promotion leading up to "These Days"(the new 4 cd set being released in October). I have heard it being announced on our local radio station and another radio station . They are saying that Vince is "Invincable" and that this has never been done by anyone else. I am so happy to hear them talking about the cd set and I am sure this one is going to get rave reviews.

That's exciting to hear that places are promoting Vince's new boxset.
I did hear on the "Thunder Road/Nascar" segment on our local country station last Sunday morning a short news snippet about Vince's boxset coming out and listing all the guest artists appearing on them.

That is so fantastic that we are hearing about it. I personally have not heard anything on radio but at least the word is getting out.

I think a very good sign that MCA is behind this project is that it was Luke Lewis who told Vince to go for the box set of all new music- and not to limit himself to one or two cds.

Sounds wonderful to me!!! I am so hoping that management and everyone really gets behind Vince and promotes the heck out of this boxed set!!! I know we, as fans, will do all we can to con-Vince people to buy it!!! Looks like I'll be going back to Walmart on the day that the boxed set is released...last time, I did convince a total stranger to buy Next Big Thing...she just seemed to be looking and not picking anything up, so I just asked her if she liked Vince Gill and she said 'yeah', so I picked up a copy of NBT and here's his new cd, hot off the shelf..LOL!!!
I should listen to my local country radio stations more often around here...hopefully they are promoting the boxed set as well !!!
Thanks for sharing that with us, Leah...is SO good to know!!!

I haven't seen or heard anything here about the CD. But I did receive an email from Trisha Yearwoods website and in there it had a blurb about the cd, said to go buy it since Trisha is on there doing BGV
Yeah for two reason, more advertising, and I love hearing Trisha and Vince together!!!

Wouldn't it be just the coolest thing to turn your radio on anytime day or night and within a split second hear ALL of that new box set? This is for the one's who doesn't have Sirrius (sp ?) or XM

Maybe that should be a fanclub project--to get a Sirius or similar station that plays ALL VINCE, all the time!!! You know, like those Christmas stations in December? There would definitely be enough music to fill the waves for at least two or three days before a repeat! It could be something that he's recorded, something he's done bgv's on, something from the Opry shows, or even some of the stuff he's produced, like Sonya Isaacs. With all the stuff that Vince has been involved in doing, he's about the only person in Nashville that could do it!!

Shirl, Wouldn't that be to cool. Just turn on that radio and hear Vince from the beginning of his career up through his latest?
