I'm pretty sure someone here said that they had the Opry Family Reunion DVD set....down here they've been doing those Paid Ads for Country's Family Reunion DVD set...does anyone know if the two are the same and it's just been renamed for the Infomercial, or is it two different sets?

[b]The ones I have is Family Reunion at the Opry - 4 dvds in all. These are the ones which Vince is on. If you are planning to get it, make sure it's the right one, there may be other ones from previous years that have other Opry members on it.

Ok, I found the following info on the Country Family Reunion videos. Their is a phone number to order a 9 DVD collection titled Country's Family Reunion Collection. It appears to contain the following collections which were available on VHS.
Country's Family Reunion
Country's Family Reunion 2
Country's Family Reunion Celebration
Country's Family Reunion Gospel
Stories From the Golden Age of Country
Note they also have 2 seperate DVD collections available.
Country's Family Reunion at the Opry ( features Vince )
Country's Family Reunion at the Ryman
To buy all 3 collections on DVD would cost about $220.00 plus shipping.

The first 5 collections that Bruce listed here are the older Opry members..I believe they contain legends such as Minnie Pearl, Boxcar Willie, Bill Anderson, Billy Walker, etc...and it would cost $120 to get the first 5...the others are purchased separately...and like Joan said, the Reunion at the Opry features some older Opry members with some newer faces like Darryl Worley...the Ryman reunion appears to be again, older Opry members with some clips from Minnie Pearl and I believe some history of the GOO at they Ryman on it...
Some of these collections are being sold on Ebay on VHS tape...I believe them to be the same collections as the ones that Bruce mentioned above, they are just on VHS tape and not dvd...
With the hours of video that these all have on them, it's really not a bad price, if you think about it...the Opry one is a 4 dvd set and so is the Ryman..so there is alot of footage, songs and stories on all of these dvds...I've wanted them for a long time...guess one day I'll just bite the bullet and go ahead and ordre all of them...

[b]They have been doing these shows for quite awhile although I don't know if they have done any new ones since the one Vince was a part of. I remember seeing a few of them on TV a number of years ago. Like Becky said, one of them had Willie Nelson and I believe also Waylon Jennings. Probably all of those older shows are now on DVD. I even have a couple of CDs that have songs that were sung at some of these programs. I will have the dig those CDs out and see what's on them. I know both Waylon & Willie are on them.

The set I've been seeing on TV does feature Vince. Don't remember how many DVDs are in the collection, but I think it does cost around $120. The one advertised on TV also has Little Jimmy Dickens, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Russell, Minnie Pearl, etc. One of these days I would *love* to get the Opry Family Reunion set, but right now it's just out of our price range.

Joan ,
THe ones i have is of the ( Family Reunionat the OPRY> ) with 4dvds
with Vince in them. I really like them , I think the family reunion would be great too.
love ya, Shirl.
Lady Gill ----loves Vince Gill.
That's the ones I have, Shirl. I really loved it. To me the best parts were when they showed the clips of the older performers and put the camera on Vince's face. His expressions were priceless. He was definitely singing along with Patsy Cline. That was great.

That sounds like a really good one to have.A little steep for me at this time (since I made my reservations for Vegas and then found out Vince would be 50 miles from me in Nov.

) But maybe I can get it in the future.
