It was Labor Day weekend and unfortunately (or so I thought) our 10,000 seat auditorium was probably not quite one half full. The show began and, as you all know, there are no opening acts, just "Friends and Family". I have spoken to several people that attended the concert and we are unanimous in our feelings that it was more like sitting at Vince and Amy's home (ok, it would have to have been a REALLY big living room with that fabulous band) instead of a concert in a 10,000 seat auditorium.
I got the June Carter Cash/ Johnny Cash feel from Vince and Amy. Jenny Gill did her daddy proud. What an incredible voice!!!
If there was a down side---and believe me, you had to really work to find one---it was that the band was a bit too loud for Amy. I am definitely not a bluegrass fan but even I had to admit the bluegrass band was absolutely incredible.
Vince and Amy were out biking on our bike paths. They were seen eating in "regular folk" restaurants here in Wyoming. How do you not just love down to earth people like this???
I---along with several million others---am Vince's biggest fan.

And this was such an incredible treat for me to hear him live in concert and for such a lengthy concert at that. He is an outstanding performer---one of the only performer's I have ever heard live that sounded even better than they do on their recordings---but more importantly, he is an outstanding human being.
Thanks Vince for a night I will long remember.
