My husband and I were fortunate enough to have front row, center stage tickets for the Prescott Valley Arizona show. We actually live outside of Phoenix and made the 2 hour drive just to see the show. We made room reservations at the Days Inn which is only blocks from the Tim's Toyota Center where the concert was to be held. We came in a day early so we could check out the sites. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that we would not be able to park in the back of the hotel, as they were going to be doing "construction" and it was blocked off. Our hotel room was of course in the back. While it seemed like a inconvenience to have to carry our bags to the back and park in the front, we found out in the morning why!! Vince's bus was parked back there. It wasn't construction after all! How amazing. We then went next door the next morning to the Denny's to have breakfast, and who walks in and sits right behind us, no not Vince, but Jeff White! I very quietly asked him for his autograph so I wouldn't disturb him and he was so cordial. I told him that we would be attending the concert that night and he thanked us for attending. What a nice guy!
Well, the concert was amazing. Vince did seem a little tired, and wasn't his usual joking self, but the music was amazing! When they first came out, Jeff White acknowledged us and waved. Guess he remembered!
I have been watching Vince perform since the late 70's and he still has the best shows ever. I think I would drive 1000 miles next time to see him! We took lots of pictures being in the front row and since I'm new to the board I don't know if it is allowed to upload them. Let me know if I can, they are great!
