I dragged mysef out of the house tonight and went to a singles dance. You think that doesn't take nerve???????????????? I've been taking lessons and that took me 6 months to walk across the hall where I work to the studio. This is the second singles dance I've attended. The first was a whammy. I sat for 1 and 1/2 hours with 3 women (and one of the ladies?????? did not want me there ) and didn't dance once. That was before the lunch in Nashville and I've not been back until tonight. So give me that medal I deserve

I do have to give you alot of credit there, Anna...that does take alot of courage to do that!!! I'm sure glad I'm not in 'the dating scene' these days...things can be brutal out there...hope you passed on going with the lady that didn't want you to be there the last time...I never was much of a singles date place type person. I had to meet Bruce at work!!!

I wish you all the luck, Anna...you're a great catch for the right man..and he's out there somewhere!!!

Btw, what kind of dancing have you learned??? I love to watch people dance...but I've never been a good dancer myself...2 left feet, I guess...and Bruce would tell you that I can't let him lead, which is true!!!

Glad to hear you got out there! If you just go to enjoy yourself and meet new people it will happen when you least expect it. You are a super lady and some guy will just fall head over heels for you someday soon. Keep up the socializing.

Thanks Maggie,It is very hard to do. I talk myself in and out and in right up to the last minute. Tonight is another dance. Not sure I'll make the trip. It's across town and I don't do well driving long ways at night. One good thing is ..........I can spend the night at my daughters. Still haven't decided though. Younger crowd and distance and how tired I am after work today.

Well the lessons are over. I don't have the money to go through the next program but I am seeing Vince 2 times before the end of the year

Lessons went well .I love to dance. Went to another singles dance. It will get easier...................Oh, Lord please let it get easier.

I will get easier Anna...just keep getting out there, k??? The more you go, the more new people you will meet and you will get to know the 'regulars' that go there as well...good luck to you!!! It sounds like a blast to have a place to get out there and dance...!!! Bruce & I used to country western dance some, but we no longer have a place around here to go dance...so, enjoy the fact that you have a place to go!!!

I am going again Saturday night but until I get to know some people it doesn't seem to get easier. I have faith in humanity but I have to say some of these people just are plain unfriendly.
