I'm a big Darryl Worley fan, and trying to spread the word about Team Worley, a free membership that allows you to check out his new videos and old, and get previews about his new CD. Darryl has been around for a long time, and I've always felt he didn't get enough attention as an artist. He is a very genuine guy, and I wish him great success now that he is on Neal McCoys label.

Hey Linda!!!

My husband and I are in Darryl's fan club...in fact, hubby Bruce met Darryl at his fan club party back in June during fan fair (I was sick and stayed in the bed all day...so I missed getting to meet Darryl...dog gone it!!!)...

I think Darryl has alot of talent and Bruce had a good time at the fan club party and was very impressed when he met Darryl...he said the same thing about Darryl that you said, that Darryl seems like a really genuine guy...we'll be back next year so I can meet Darryl...Darryl was sweet when Bruce explained that I was sick and he personalized a picture of himself for me!!!

I really like Darryl too. I loved his song where he was out on the ocean Second Wind Yeah,I found it . And I Miss My Friend is a great song. Now that song should have won an award. When you Need My Love is a good one too.He is such a hunk too. ;)Believe it or not but I dated a guy ( a 100 years ago ) who bares a very strong resemblance to Darryl .Not his height but facial features.

How cool........maybe we will meet next year.......I will definitely be back.

In Vegas, oh probably 7 years or so ago, Darryl was to have a show that night on a stage set up outside between Fiztgerald's and Four Queens downtown. I was walking by when a lot of men were milling around setting up early in the day. Then I realized they were getting ready for soundcheck. I stopped to see what was going on, and then Darryl stepped up to the microphone and began singing. No one else walking around stopped to listen. I DID! I knew it was Darryl. The sound crew was set up probably a half block away in front of the stage. They kept yelling stuff to Darryl and he would yell back. Darryl couldn't really hear himself sing because the speakers were in front of him, and the sound crew wasn't making good choices in my opinion. The music was not right just yet for the concert. I was shaking my head "no", and Darryl looked down and said, "NO"? I told him what I thought, and he yelled out to the sound crew and told them what I had said. Then they ALL started asking my opinion and "we" all worked on it for about 30 minutes! It was fun and the sound was wonderful in the end!

When Darryl was finished with soundcheck, he nodded his head to me and walked to the back of the stage where he was going to get in a vehicle to leave. I saw him still back there and I began to walk that way to get an autograph (no camera on me - it was in my room!) As I tried to get back there, some of the road crew started yelling that I shouldn't be back there (it was on the street!). Darryl looked up to see who they were yelling at, and he said, "Hey, ya'll let her back here!" So I got to meet him, talk to him, and I got his autographed. He was so sweet!

So, there's my story of Darryl! WOW - it's been quite a while since bestamaw told a story, huh?

What a neat story, Cathy!! I don't have a Darryl Worley story..heck, I don't have many stories at all...I guess the biggest story I have is a Kenny Chesney story, back when he still had hair. *L*

That's really neat, Cathy!!! Sounds like you just happened to be in the right place at the right time!!! Now if you ever meet Darryl again, you can tell him that you were the lady that helped him get his soundcheck finished all those years ago!!! Bet he'll get a kick out of that!!!

Kenny with hair??? That must have been several years ago..LOL!!! I joke with Maegan because she really likes Kenny Chesney and I keep telling her that he has no hair underneath those hats he always wears!!! We're always teasing her about something...no offense to Chesney fans out there!!!

WOW! That is an awesome story, and sounds just like Darryl. He's just a regular guy. That's one of the things I like about him. I'd love it if you went over to the Darryl site and posted that.......there aren't many people over there, and the contest they're having is kinda fun......you get to hunt for easter eggs and accumulate points, and can "buy" Darryl stuff with the points you accumulate....a nice diversion.

It was not long after "Fall in Love" went to #1 on the R&R chart. We were at Dollywood and they had a camera crew set up near the theater there. We knew something was going on, and found out that one of the Knoxville TV stations was going to interview Kenny. At the time, my grandmother didn't even know who he was, but I knew his song "Fall in Love" so we stayed and watched the interview. He did an acoustic version of "That's All I Need to Know" which was going to be his next single. This was before he became a superstar. We didn't have tix to see his show at the theater that afternoon, but I did stand in line and got his autograph. I got some pix during the interview, but didn't get any from the autograph line. Now I guess it's almost impossible to get his autograph, so I'm glad I got it when not too many people knew who he was! *L*

Just goes to show you that you never know who's gonna make it big and who isn't...the artist with one hit this year may be the next biggest thing to hit country music in years to come!!! Glad you got that opportunity to meet Kenny before he was 'Kenny Chesney', the one that women swoon over...LOL!!! I just keep wondering what those muscle shirts will look like on him in 20 years!!!

It is true.....you never know. I liked checking out all the new artists at fanfair......they are so much more accessible, though some do stay accessible.......like Vince, Darryl, Blake Shelton, etc.

Yup, also a very sweet guy......I swear those mama's know how to raise their sons in Oklahoma......Vince, Blake, Keith Anderson....all very sweet and humble guys. AND cute to boot!

I like Darryl Worley too. When i went to see Allan Jackson he had Darryl to open his show for himthe last time i saw him on GAC his hair was long and he has a very sexy video out , mybe ya'll have seen it. I'm not a fan of his but i do like some of his song's thank's for posting.

I work for a wheelchair company that supplies hi-tech wheelchairs. I saw one of our Cerebral Palsy patients on CMT a few nights ago with Darryl Worley. Darryl was signing an autograph for the kid. He was really excited. I found out at work that Darryl is his favorite singer.
