One of my fellow nurses needs our prayers. Her son who was 28 died this weekend. He lived in Florida and was planning to be married in either September or October (I can't remember). They were doing an autopsy today to determine cause of death. This is such a shock to all of us who work with Debra. She is such a sweet, giving person. This was her only biological child. She has two other children that she adopted. I can't even imagine what she must be going through. I just know that she will need our prayers to give her strength through this difficult time.
Thanks, Laura

Thanks for all the prayers for my friend and her family. Today was another tough day for her. The family was having a wake for him today in Florida, that is where he lived. He was to be married this fall and they were going to play a couple of the songs they had picked out for the wedding at his wake. Tomorrow Debra will fly back to Rochester, Ny and on Saturday head to Saranac Lake where her son was born and spent part of his childhood, that is where he will buried. Then on Tuesday Debra and her family will have a memorial service at Debra's house. I know she must be totally exhausted. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

They think that it may have been a heart attack, but won't know for sure for a couple of months when all the reports from the autopsy are back.

Shirl, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I am sure your grandaughter was just as sweet as you are. Go Rest High sure is a wonderful song during times of grief.

That's tragic, Laura...sometimes heart problems can go unnoticed until it's too late...I know I have a history of heart problems on both sides of my family...it's something I have to watch as a result of that...
