Country Weekly did do the banner story about the stars posing with Derek's 'thank you' banner. Check it out. AM I PROUD OF IT? YOU BETCHA!!!!!!!!!!! Derek is embarrassed, but honored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's wonderful, and you must have been so surprised. Derek should be extremely proud. We are all proud of him

Cathy, that is so wonderful. I'm glad they decided to put it in CW for all to see. What a neat thing you did for Derek.

Country Weekly did such a good job on the article. My family is so proud of it. Derek is embarrassed a little and says he should not have been 'singled out' since he was not the only person to serve and be in harms way. I can understand him feeling that way --- but I also want him to know that people of all walks of life support and appreciate what our troops have done and are doing for all of us. Country Weekly Magazine did just that ------ they showed that our troops are being thanked and respected by using Derek's story!!!! GOD bless CW for this effort!

Couldn't fine the issue ,Cathy , but think is an awesome honor for all the troops . Sometimes we have to single out one to draw attention to the masses .
