well! Well I'm shocked at least they did a little quick thing about the hall of fame inductions .The people gave polite applause but then at least stood up then it cut to ads lol Oh well a lot of people must of complained so they did a little tribute at least.And Glad Dwight mentioned Porter ,He got all choked up,Still Vince Should have won Album of the year.Mamabear

I agree...Vince writes his songs, is a musician's musician and sings....how many artists can say that?
His "These Days" set deserved to win. I am so disappointed!

If wishing would make it so Bad CMA'S on album of the year . Not one of the nominees( as much as I like Brad Paisley ) for that award comes within a hair of Vince's talent .

I guess Vince has so many talents that shined through on his epic "These Days" that he was just "over qualified." I like George Strait, but this year was really no contest, and yet they didn't give it to Vince. It's too bad, because I truly thought he really deserved it this year over all the others.

I just knew George Strait was going to win and I was so disappointed. Not one of the nominees came anywhere near
Vince in the realm of talent. At least WE know who's the best. I was really disappointed in the whole show if the truth be told. Didn't seem to have any kind of continuity. I liked it much better when Vince was the host and even when Brooks and Dunn did it the show itself was much better. Does this sound like "sour grapes". Just being honest. Vince sure deserves better!! <smokypaws>

I'm happy for George, but Vince truly deserved to win this award. His new album is his best yet, but as long as he and all his fans know that, guess Vince is happy with just that.

Wow, I couldn't believe that they showed the HOF clip and at least asked the guys to take a bow. Wonder if all of our e-mails might have resulted in that. Just curious! If so, hey, we'll complain all the time.

I rarely post, but have got to chime in on this one. This was the worst CMA show I've ever seen as far as deserving people winning and appearing. I like George, but agree Vince should have won hands down. I didn't even watch all of it. I turned it off after Carrie won female vocalist. She's good, but there's just been too much of her. I just hope that next year they have a producer who is a real country music fan and a host or co-host who are country music stars. Sorry if I've offended anyone, just my opinion.

I was also very glad to see that they at least mentioned the Hall of Fame inductees!!! It was great to see Vince Of course I also agree he should have won album of the year......he is just soooo very talented, sometimes it amazes me....plus he has a heart of gold
