Was so disappointed that 'These Times' did not win Album of the Year! What a wonderful piece of work it is! I bought it the day it appeared in stores and my daughter borrowed it to load her ipod and just got it back last nite! I have been playing it all morn..keep up the good work.

I've really had no interest to watch the CMA show anymore since Vince isn't hosting, presenting, or performing. I think it's a total crock he didn't win Album of the Year. I mean how many other artists have written 43 all new songs at one time? Why is henot getting the airplay & recognition he deserves? I don't care for George Strait at all & was very upset when he won over Vince. The award show isn't even country anymore. It's all cross over artists playing what they call country rock. Not impressed at all.

I agree gillgirl , i was hopeing vince would sing, I watch the show and was wondering when vince would get up there, it was good just to see him. yes he should have won. they did honored him being inducted into the hall of fame.

Vince should have won album of the year!! But he did get into the Hall of Fame at a rather young age so I'm going to try to chill out. I was very angry last night.

I like King George ,always have but he'll never hold a candle to VG!! Ever!
I've never cared for his studios albums so I have the #1's set and play that. Vince's albums are all so good but These Days was INCREDIBLE !

I watched last night hoping they'd do a HOF segment and they did. LeeAnn Rimes did a nice job with the segment.

To quote our favorite country artist it appears Nashville is a Young Man's Town. Except George S and Bill Anderson all winners were young! Most of my favorite artists are in the 40 and up category so I think I'm skipping these award shows from now on. Even Gary Allan turns 40 this year.

Did anyone see Vince present or otherwise be on the stage at all ?

These Days is perhaps one of the most creative and remarkable "albums" I have ever owne or heard. Vince is a genius and this set demonstrates it abundantly. In a sense, I wonder if Vince is too sophisticated and complex for the simple criteria employed to determine CMA award winners. Vince, in my mind, you are the very best---composer, arranger, instrumentalist and vocalist. And you are a nice guy to boot. You are a blessing in the form of a man.

There were some good performances last night. Allison Krauss,Sugarland,Kellie P,Martina M(what a great song!) and Reba w/ LeeAnn. I can't believe the only part of the show I missed is when the Eagles were introduced.....

And I missed it. My crazy life, I was putting kids to bed.

I do not post often but must post about the CMA's. Vince definitely should have won the Album of th Year. That is without a doubt. I did not see that much country about the Country Music Awards at all. So much is just noise and yeller their songs. I did watch just to see Vince and that I did get to see. I also liked the duet with Reba and LeeAnn alot.

dbadgerow,you'll get no argument here . However,I do think there are many creative people in the business today . Just can't think of one better than Vince . The CMA'S and ACM"S are all about sales and airplay .Says nothing much of anything else .Vince said once ,he always liked the Grammy Awards because they were all about the music .

I did see Kelli Picklers performance and cried right along with her. That poor girl is hurting so much and that song cannot be easy for her to sing. She did a great job of her performance. I wish I would have see the Sugarland performance.....that is such a great song.

I thought the show was typical . I had to go outside and cool of after album of the year . I basically enjoyed the show .

The show was a a little better than last years show. Vince's Album was by far the best I have heard in alone times so may great songs. I was very disappointed it didnt win. Vince will always be one of the best song writers and performers around.....KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK!!!

I couldn't agree more! I don't care all that much for George Strait. Those who vote on these things must think only new kids to Country Music matter and that they must want to hear all the young artists that don't hold a candle to Vince! Vince is the very best all around.

I had actually convinced myself that Vince just might win. When they announced George Strait, I could not believe it. I must say I had quite a little fit. I was so upset, and I still can't quite get rid of the frustrated feeling in my stomach. How can there ever be another achievement like "These Days"?? The CMA voters really, really blew it this year. I am just unbelievably disappointed. I make myself feel better by pointing out that he was nominated and lots others were not... and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame where most of those who were there at the show can only DREAM of being some day!! ... and also that he has won more CMA, Grammy and other awards than others can ever even hope to win.
