Has anyone ever heard Vince sing Willie song Blue Eyes ? I got a e mail with the song on the e mail. Wonder if he did it at the Grand Ole Opry. Well I just love the song with him singing it.

Vince sings Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain on a CD called Willie Nelson and Friends Stars and Guitars. There was a special on TV a few years ago and different artists sang songs of Willie's or sang with Willie. Vince did this song on the show and then a CD came out with some of the songs on it. Blue Eyes made the cut for the CD, lol. and Vince sings it by himself too. It gives you shivers to listen to him sing the song.

I think the CD was put out in 02 or early 03. Some of the other artists on it are Sheryl Crow, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Lee Ann Womack, Aaron Neville, Ray Price, Toby Keith, Brian McKnight and more


I remember watching the special on TV and then there was talk about a CD. As I mentioned before I am glad Blue Eyes made the cut, lol. Vince does sing the song by himself which I am glad of.... I don't know if Willie is playing in the background or not but he doesn't sing with Vince but if I remember right it seems like Vince did the playing on the song too. The TV show has been several years ago so I just can't remember for sure. Maybe someone else can.

I remember Vince and Willie being on a show hosted by Cledus .Judd and they did Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain. Awesome. I think it would be hard to sing with Willie...........that is if I could sing. But Vince can sing with anyone.

You're right Anna. That was back when the Opry Live show still ran of CMT and Willie and Vince sang the song on CMT's pre-Opry show. I think it was their video countdown show.

I haven't heard him sing that. Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain is my favorite Willie Nelson song. I can imagine hearing Vince sing it.
I am now on a mission to find the recording of Vince.

I don't know where you prefer to shop but the CD is on Amazon on page 2 of Willie Nelson CD's and on page 5 on barnesand noble under Willie's CD.

The CD is called Stars and Guitars and was made in 2002. Hope this helps

Deb, I found this cd on amazon last night and listened to the clip of Vince singing the song...it's great!!! I listened to some of the other songs and they aren't bad either...I may have to pick up that cd in the future...I added it to my wish list on amazon so I wouldn't forget about it...
