On Channel 16 {Highway 16} the station that plays the new music. I was just coming out of the bathroom to leave for work when I heard Vince's voice then looked at the little screen and they were playing "The Reason Why". Of course, I had to turn up the volume to listen to it. What a beautiful song.
I knew they would eventually play it, they play all the new songs and have a large playlist but thought I would have to wait until Aug 7. It just made my Monday morning particularly since it's raining this morning and had to drive in the rain to go to work. I almost missed it, if they had played it one or more songs later I would have already turned it off to go to work.

Hi Joan ,It is a pretty song. I have only heard it once but the melody of Vince's music always grabs me. I will always think he is just the best all around eveything.

You won't be sorry, Becky. I have had it for 4 years and it was one of the best things I ever purchased. Just a hint, you can save a little money if you get the 2 year contract.
I usually listen to channel 17 - it's their newest country channel, they play Vince alot. Some times even three songs in a row. But since I wanted to hear the new song, I've been listening to 16. That's their channel for all the new songs. They also do an album type party when all the new CD's come out with the artists. I'm hoping they will do one with Vince with the box set. That would be great to hear.

My sister has one of them...not sure if it's XM radio or Sirrius, but a few months ago she told me she was thinking of cancelling the service to save money. She said that it wasn't something she would have bought for herself...her husband bought it for her for Christmas. She wasn't impressed with the signal (she would lose the signal under one of the expressway underpasses), and considering there are several country stations here in TX, she really didn't see the point of it. Don't know if she did cancel it or not.

Well I'm gonna leave all the 'picking out' to Bruce...he already knows what he wants...he's been looking at these systems for about a year now...I think he wants one that will work both in the car and the house...I don't really understand it all..but if it works that way, I'll use it to listen to some decent country stations!!!

We have had XM satellite radio for about 2 years now - got it for hubby for Christmas cause he could never find a decent jazz station when we traveled. We have a separate hookup in the house so we can use the radio in the car or the house. We actually have one for the car and one for the house. I listen to Highway 16 alot in the house and hubby listens to jazz when he is doing a project in the house. We both really enjoy the system. Good investment for us.

Well,Val, all I can say is maybe where your sister lives there are great music stations and she is satisfied with them. But I can tell you the radio stations in San Diego are terrible and I couldn't take it anymore plus you get all music minus the commercials.

There's a new station here, but apparently it doesn't have a very wide ranging signal, because I visited the website, and it's a Waco station, but I can't pick it up. I went to look around the website, and there's a link to listen, but after clicking on it, it says something that's like 'coming soon'. I wanted to try to listen to the station to see what they play, because on the front page, it has a list of what I guess is all the artists they play...everyone from Vince to the Dixie Chicks to George Strait, George Jones, Lynn Anderson, even PPL! For anyone who's interested in checking out the station's website, it's
GeorgeFM.
As for my sister, I'm pretty sure she told me that the stations she's listened to on her Satellite radio had commecials. It's possible she has Sirrius, but I can't be sure about that.

We get sirius on our Dish Network TV system and I sometimes listen late at night when nothing is on on TV - even GAC and CMT go off after midnight like Cinderella. No commercials and I've been campaigning for a new car with satellite radio - is it worth it? So far, my campaign has fallen on deaf ears! Freida
