She only sat about ten seats away from me at the Hank Williams Jr. Tribute awhile ago & isn't hard to look at but???? From aol.com music: Jessica Simpson's been spotted in Nashville quite a bit lately. The pop starlet is in Music City to explore the notion of recording a country album. According to Nashville ABC affiliate WKRN, Simpson is in talks with some of country music's heaviest hitters to collaborate on her new project, including John Rich (Big & Rich), Vince Gill and Simpson's co-star in 'The Dukes of Hazzard' movie, Willie Nelson. The singer's also reportedly met with executives at CMT (Country Music Television) and Nashville's Sony/BMG record label.

Other news outlets are reporting that Simpson actually moved to Nashville, though she was also recently seen apartment-hunting in New York. Simpson has said that she is making the move to the Big Apple to be closer to her record label. She also has an upcoming gig in New York, co-hosting 'The View' on November 15 and 16.

It really wouldn't surprise me at all...unfortunately! Country is not hardly even country anymore. I sure do miss the sound of a nice steel guitar and some banjo and fiddle in any music on the radio right now. I am sad to see it turn like this, especially when I see so many TRULY talented COUNTRY singers waiting in the wings for one shot. Due to the politics of radio and recording companies, they will never be given a fair shot.... mad.gif

The sad thing is that all eye's (and radio stations) will be on her when she does decide to make a country album and the people that have been in Nashville just trying to make it for so many years will still be waiting to be heard.

WHAT is Music Row doing? Give us our COUNTRY back!
countrycrazy
I can tell you what Music Row is doing...or should I say, what they have done..they've committed murder by infusing country music with all these former pop singers and label heads who have no idea who the legends of country music are! Remember the guy from Capitol Records who wanted his assistant to contact Patsy Cline because he wanted John Berry to sing a duet with her?! Luckily his assistant knew at least a *little* something about country music history and told his boss that Patsy was killed in a plane crash years ago!

ahhh....well said! as george and alan put it......'there's been an awful murder..down on music row.'
so sad.
washed up rockers' inability to get played on pop/rock radio does not give them the right to go country! in that case, vince gill and other country stars who can't get played on country radio should be able to go pop.
