Did anyone tape this show? If so, I'm looking to get a copy. Oprah wasn't on in my area due to the hostage situation in NH. All the local TV stations were covering the story all day and totally cancelled the Oprah show. I tried looking on Oprah's website to see if they air the show, but I can't find it. Does anyone know where on the web it might be so that I can watch it.

Thanks guys.

That was a great show with Vince, Amy and children. I loved the feature of Amy at her beautiful cabin. I really liked the guitars they were playing too. Does anyone know the name of the guitar?

It was really great and loved seeing how much all of the kids have grown and changed. Couldn't believe Corrina is already so big. Kenny Rogers was also interesting to see and his home. Amy and Vince's daughter really seemed to have bonded and love each other. laugh.gif

Her in Az. we were ( Finally getting rain biggrin.gif ) and the power was iffy . I rushed home from work , keeping my fingers crossed that I could see the Oprah show . I loved it . Oprah is so funny . Did anyone notice that Vince still teared up when talking about the Hall of Fame induction ? Amy kinda of give him a little elbow . smile.gif Both of them have so much soul . It was great seeing the children too . Matt is a great looking young man and I think one of the girls looks so much like her Father and the other looks like Amy . Corrina is a little imp and Jenny is beautiful . Such a great joy to see such a loving family . I too though the cabin part of the show was way cool . Amy's sense of humor is so cute .

I have loved Kenny Rogers since The First Edition . Also a beautiful family . One of Oprah's best shows .

I thought it was just awesome to see the whole family and to see Vince and Amy going about their everyday lives. I have to admit I cried through some of it because it is really just so heartwarming to see 2 people so in love and happy. I called my mom after the show and she said she cried through most of it...lol!! It was a really special episode and I am so glad that Oprah featured them...you could tell she was impressed...then again how coudl she not be? biggrin.gif

I really enjoyed the Oprah Show! IT WAS AWESOME! Oprah is so nice and down to earth- I love her. The segment with Amy and Vince was well worth it- they actually did interviews and everything. I got it on tape so I can watch it over and over. It was so sweet! They never do all that when they make an appearance on other shows just talk for a minute and sing 1 song. 5 minutes at most - which I think is stupid!
Well done Oprah and your Producers!

Yes, the Oprah show was very good. I love when Vince lets his emotions get the best of him! I thought it was cute on the swing when he said some part of him hoped the rope wouldn't hold...hehe! Jenny looked teary when Amy talked about their conversation. I'm sure it was rough more often than not in the beginning, but they all seem to be at peace and a happy blended family.

I was "talking" to Oprah all through the segment...when she said "Who says that?" and I'd have to reply VINCE DOES!!! I think she was pleasantly surprised by the two of them. Maybe they'll get a full hour someday!! biggrin.gif

The guitar is called a McPherson. Its a really neat sounding and beautiful guitar... They give them to Vince and Amy just to get the publicity... They have already been through several of them... They start at $4000 and go up from there depending on the type of wood you want... Lots of exotic and beautiful wood is available... I would love to have one... I've also seen Brad Paisley playing one...

I thought the show was really nicely done. I liked the part where Vince made a comment about the rope not holding when Amy was trying out the swing. Seems like they have a great relationship biggrin.gif It was nice seeing all the kids too.

Hi I thought the Oprah Show with Vince and Amy was the best I have ever seen, it topped the 20/20 interview with them a few years back. Vince and Amy were so down to earth I wish them the best. What a nice family and even stars have the same problems we have with family also. gillgirl IN PA. smile.gif

I'm a long time fan, since the Pure Prairie League days.
I have known some of Vince and Amy's love story and it was great to see them on Oprah. I can't judge them because they were married to other people when they got together. I have found myself in the exact same situation. I'm in my forties, have 2 children, and I've found the kind of love Amy discribed with my bestfriend of many years. I just wanted to say that I'm so happy that they found each other because I now know what it is like to find that True Love, soulmate, bestfriend, give 100% of yourself, forever kind of love.

I couldn't wait to hear all your reactions to the show. I blubbered like a baby through most of it! I thought it was great,. What a wonderful loving blended family. Amy has such a way with words. Don said "Now I know what to give you for Christmas." I'll look forward to reading her book! biggrin.gif

I sincerely agree with you. I especially loved the song Vince played live as a tribute for Amy. Does anyone know if he ever recorded that song? I have searched for it and cannot find it on any of his CD's. If he hasn't he should, it is such a beautiful song and would be an instant hit!!!
countrycrazy
The name of the song is Whenever You Come Around and it can be found on Vince's "When Love Finds You" album.

Does anyone know if Vince has recorded the song he sang to Amy "All about a Smile" on the show that day? It was such a beautiful song! I looked through my collection and could not find it. On the show Amy said when she had first heard it she didn't know it was written for her and she thought, "what a lucky woman". So, it lead me to believe that the song had been released. Please help out there for anyone who knows where I can get this recording.....Thanks!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
