This song has much more meaning this year. Since my mom is gone this year & Christmas was her favorite, favorite holiday it really WON'T be the same this year. No decorations around the house & just trying to help dad through this tough time of year.

I know what you mean Reg! I lost my Dad 22 years ago December 5th! Christmas was nothing until I had my two g-babies. They changed my focus!
Try to get through it ----- OH, IT IS ROUGH!!!! Hang in there!

That song has always meant alot to me as my brother passed away Dec 23, 14 years ago of a heart attack. It was about his brother so really fits myself also.
Sure know how you feel but just hang in there and support Dad.

Reggie, I just saw your post, and reading it really hit home...I could have written it myself!
My mom died in June and at 82 we try to keep dad busy so he isn't so lonely.
I love Vince's Christmas cd's and every year that song made me cry for Vince and his brother. This year, it hit hard in my heart and I cried for my family, me and my mom.
Good luck to you and your dad.
Much sympathy tp you & your family!

Reggie-
It is difficult when you lose someone, especially around the holidays. Four years ago this past September I lost my nine year old son seven days before my birthday. Since then my birthday is insignificant. The Christmas holiday is difficult as are all holidays. I still find myself looking for things for him. He loved Elmo. My daughter and I giggle when we see new Elmo things that he would have loved. Hang in there and support your father all you can. The days will get easier, but the hurt and emptiness never goes away. I found it helpful to talk about my son alot and look at lots of pictures. Remember all of your wonderful memories! Take care!

I am so sorry. As soon as I read your post I started to & am still crying as I post this. My best friend has a 7 & 10 year old & I can't imagine what you are going through. I still look for stuff for my mom when I travel to bring something back for her. Thanks
