Well, everyone who has seen me 'live' or in pictures in the past 2 years, knows that I have braces on my teeth...well, I just went last Friday to the orthodontist and we both agreed that my teeth are back where they are supposed to be now...so, I'm going back to his office a week from tomorrow to have the braces removed...YIPPEE!!! This is the 2nd time I've had braces, (once back when I was in high school for 3 years and this time, almost 2 years)...so, I am more than ready to get these things off!!! A week from Friday, I'll be going to the dentist to have temporary veneers and bonding done on my front teeth (top and bottom)...I'm so excited to be getting this done!!! I know I won't be too excited when I receive the bill for it, but it's something I've wanted to have done for a long, long time now...so, the next time you see me, I'll have a brand new smile !!! Maybe I can get a new picture with Vince in Vegas...one where I actually will smile and show my teeth...LOL!!! And I can stop looking like I have chipmunk cheeks when I have my picture made!!!

That's wonderful news Beka! Glad to hear. I know you can't wait to get them off. You'll have to take a picture of yourself smiling when you get them off and show us on the board. We forgot what you look like without the braces. LOL

Yippee Skippee Becky. My daughter had braces on for what seemed to be forever. She felt the same as you. Except for the Vince part. She is the one who lives in Washington,not the one who goes to concerts w/me. Hapy for you.I know it's a big relief for you. Can't wait to see ya.

Well, 1 week from today!!! Can't wait myself !!! I have to get up early and be at the orthodontist at 8:20am for the 'de-banding'...I hope that having them taken off is not going to be an unpleasant experience. I already asked how they take them off and was told that they just pop them off with a pair of pliers...doesn't sound so fun...but I'm supposed to get the braces off and check back with them later in the afternoon to get my temporary retainers...uuuugghhhhhh...

WELL GOOD FOR YOU BECKY, A couple of my grandaurgters had them
and they were very glad to get them off. but sure made their teeth better. her braces were on the bottom so they would come out to meet her top teeth, so now she has a beautiful smile just like you will have.

Thanks Shirl!!! This is my 2nd time around with braces...and in my 40's this time..LOL!!! I wore them years ago when I was a teen for 3 years...and this time for almost 2 years...so I'm more than ready to get them off!!! Tell your granddaughters to wear their retainers faithfully, k??? So that they don't end up like me, needing to wear braces again when they get older!!! This time, not only will I have straight teeth again, but they will be shaped and white!!! My teeth came in stained because my Mother took tetracycline when she was pregnant with me...so, I've had pretty straight teeth since my braces before I was a teen, now I'm going for straight and white!!!

Thanks Leah!!! Bruce & I have been trying to change our eating habits as well lately and I've lost about 10lbs or so lately...so I'm feeling better. Still have a long way to go as far as losing weight goes, but it's a start, at least!!!

Temptation is still there tho, Leah!!! With Maegan needing to gain weight, I have to keep all that 'fattening stuff' around the house...and try not to eat it myself...LOL!!! It does help that Bruce is watching his weight also..of course, it always seems that men can drop pounds faster than women...

Yeah Anna...go figure...LOL!!! I'm getting alot of gray lately myself...am considering some color...but it's so hard to match this redhead of mine..LOL!!!
