please let Vince know how much his song Go Rest High on That mountain
means to me and it meant a lot to my mother. My mom died in May 2007. She wanted this song played at her funeral but with our Greek Orthodox Church I was not able to arrange it. Tonight 7 months after I am still grieving and put on Vince's song and it made me feel better. It is so true of mom's life - the trouble and the pain. May God bless Vince and Amy and their families

My mom died in June of 2007 of Breast Cancer. I miss her so very much!! 'Go Rest High' was played at her funeral and I have listened to it many times since then. You are so right...it really helps to make you feel better.
Much sympathy to you and your family at the loss of your mom. If you need to "talk" sometime...I, or anyone here will listen!
You are not alone.

My heartfelt sympathy to you both and to others who have lost loved ones - it gets a little easier with time at least not to burst into tears now when something reminds me of my parents or brother. Vince's song Go Rest High has helped literally millions, I'm sure. Even other people have been singing it but no one can sing it like our Vince. The first time I heard Vince sing it live was at a concert in Puyallup, WA at the Fair and I had just lost my mom 3 months earlier - that was in September, 1993 when I heard it for the first time before Vince had even recorded it. He said at that time his label and others thought he shouldn't record it because it was so sad and wanted input and of course I wrote him to please record it as I am sure many others did also.
