Well, I was watching the Country Music Across America tonight and it looks like Vince's photo isn't going to be on the cover. The cover they showed was a "VG" design with the These Days and Vince Gill at the top. It's very classy but it is strange not to see Vince's photo on the cover.

When I saw this design over at MCA's website the other day I wasn't sure if it was a temporary cover or the actual one but since they showed it on TV tonight it looks like the actual cover.

What do you guys think about it?

I don't get GAC so I didn't get to see it, but I will be going over to the MCA site to take a look. I'm sure it is a classy look and that's probably what they were aiming for seeing that it is a box set. I remember reading online several months ago about the artist who was working with Vince on the cover and non-cover artwork for this release. Don't fret, there may be photos on the inside and definitely new promo photos that we'll be able to enjoy.

Btw, did they actually interview Vince on this segment of Country Music Across America? If so, plz give those who didn't get to see it or don't have access to GAC, a brief recap. Thanks! smile.gif

I'm sure you're right, Sherrie. Generally boxed sets have a booklet with a lot of pictures in it.

The segment last night only ran about 2 minutes. I was expecting it to be longer so that was disappointing. There really wasn't anything new except we got to see the four paintings, each painting depicting one of the discs. That was cool. And, as I said, they showed the cover.

Did the paintings depicting each disc have a picture of Vince or no? Just thought maybe each disc ,since they are different types of music might have different pis of him.

The paintings are mostly of guitars and things, Anna...no Vince on the cover art or the paintings they showed during the CMAA segment. The segment that they ran must have been taped several months ago as well. Guess they 'saved' it for closer to the release date of the boxed set. The last segment they ran with Vince was from this same taping...it could have been from as far back as the HOF induction ceremony, which took place at least a few months ago...may be wrong about the exact timing, but it was definitely taped a while back and at the HOF...

I was hoping for a bit longer segment on the CMAA...

I think the cover art for the cd is simple and I agree that it's very classy looking!!!

Couldn't expect anything less than class from Vince. I swear,I looked the meaning up the other day and there was Vince's picture laugh.gif
