Full Version: Vince on Brooks & Dunn's Building Bridges
The Nineteenth Hole > The Nineteenth Hole > The Main Room

I just bought my first Brooks & Dunn cd for one reason only. Vince is featured on the song Building Bridges. It really is a great song, but then I am prejudice. Does anyone know if Vince is playing guitar on it? It sure sounds like him in the intro and a couple of more places in the song. If not, that guitar player has been taking lessons from Vince! unsure.gif

Check the linear notes on the cd booklet to see if Vince is listed under "musicians".

The song is definitely great. You can really hear Vince singing.

Checked my B&D cd out nd doesn't say anything about Vince except that he sings bgv on the song and appears courtesy of MCA Records. Kix Brooks plays a pretty mean guitar too.

You got that right Anna. I do like the way he plays. I don't care that much for him as a lead singer, at least on the couple he sings on the cd. He is a lot better with harmony and bgv.
Anna Leighton
Kix and Ronnie do have good harmony but there is no question Ronnie sure has the voice.

I saw them at my first Fan Fair and Kix was a mad man on the guitar. He came down off the stage into the crowd and everyone just went nutz. smile.gif

I kinda thought that Kix may have been the one playing the guitar, but wasn't sure. My liner notes are in my car, so didn't get a chance to check them.

Kix may play a mean guitar, and I don't mean this in an ugly way, but he plays no where near as good as Vince.

Who does??????????? Nobody laugh.gif

You beat me to that, Anna...LOL!!! I can name several people that I think play the guitar very well...but none better than Vince...he just has a sound all his own and no one that I hear can compare to that 'Vince sound' !!!
Anna Leighton
Instantly recognizable. biggrin.gif I remember years ago one of my friends made a remark about a certain singer(can't remember who) but he said all his songs sound alike. I told him that was style. If you have you own ,that sets you a part from all the rest.

Vince has his own sound for sure
