WooHoo! It is exciting to know Vince has a new single out on the radio. I'm still getting excited about this new box set. Wow, more than 40 Vince written or co-written songs, what a treat for us. Vince has fun writi
ng, playing, singing, and preparing the album; we have fun waiting (well that's a matter of opinion) and then finally getting to hear the results.

It is exciting to think about having all those new cds to listen to. I just wish Vince was coming to our area for a concert. I'm keeping my fingers crossed more dates are added.

Shirl - you are lucky to have heard his new single already. I listened online but have not heard my radio station play it. I'm definitely calling again tomorrow.

I live in PA also but our local one in Scarnton area hasn't played it and I emailed them and of course haven't heard from them.

His name escapes me now, but he's a DJ who has a midnite show that's syndicated I believe, and he comes on a number of country stations after midnite. Vince has been on his shows in the past and hopefully he'll be on there again with his new release. But I was just wondering if anyone has heard his latest on this show?

Is it 'After Midnight' with Blair Garner??? I've met Blair before a couple of times and he's a really nice guy!!! The 'After Midnight' team usually takes on the Grand Ole Opry team for the COH softball game each year (or has the last several years) and I've met Blair at the ballgame a few years in a row. I know that Blair is a huge fan of Vince's...and if anyone would play the new single, Blair would...I think his show comes on one of our local stations, but I can't remember which day of the week it is...I usually am not listening to the radio after midnight!!!

I've been checking the "After Midnight" website for the past couple of weeks- so far "The Reason Why" hasn't been put up for a "challenge". Don't know if it was before because they only archive a week of the show- but they just did Alan Jackson's new one this past week and that came out before "The Reason Why". The show is usually on 5 days a week-I know our old station carried it every night.

I told Blair when I met him the first time that his show with Vince around/after NBT came out was one of the best shows I had listened to...at the time, I was listening to radio alot more than I do right now. I remember seeing some pics of Vince at the station with Blair during the show...I would hope that Blair will have Vince back on the show again soon!!!

Yes Becky, that's the one! Blair sounded like he was a fan of Vince's in that interview he did with him right before NBT, though it did seem like he would interject some flip type of sarcasm in there every now and then pertaining to his personal life, but be that as it may, I'm definitely hoping that he'll have him back soon to promote "These Days."

And I also heard them playing AJ's new song the other night. However, on our local station on Friday nights, Blair Garner doesn't host it, it's someone else who's at the helm on the weekends. I guess Blair hosts it from Monday thru Thursdays in my area. So I look forward to hearing Vince's song added very soon. Btw, Mary Anne if you happen to see WCOS add Vince's song plz, plz let me know because I don't think this station has supported Vince's last three releases like they should have. Hopefully, things will change for the better.

I've called my stations two times to try and get Vince on....I usually get "I like Vince. I will see what I can do. Thanks." So far I have not heard it here in Portland.

My father works at Walmart and can get a 10% discount, so we're going to wait and see what their price is.

I just sent the PD's at my 2 local stations another email..I'd call the dj at the station, but they don't answer their phones (asked one PD about that in the email)...we'll see. One of the PD's will at least answer my emails..the other station has yet to answer me...but GOOD NEWS...Bruce brought home an XM Radio yesterday and they just played the new single on Highway 16 about 15 minutes ago!!! So, I logged on real quick and sent them an email and told them how thrilled I was to hear it and to please keep playing it!!! So..trying to do my part...it's frustrating when your local station thinks the single is great, but they dont' want to play it...I'll keep at it, tho...this single is worth playing and Vince is definitely worth listening to!!!

That's great news, Becky, about XM Radio. Since I first heard them play it, I have heard it over 20 times by my calculation. Glad to hear you have found out how to request it. I know I'm not the only one. I don't want to be a pest so I'm requesting it once a week. They have a show that they play the most requested songs for the week - it's called Traffic Report. Try and catch that show. For the last three weeks the song has been played on that show. It's like their countdown show but instead of spins or anything else, it's based on requests.

Lucky you, Shirl! You got to sing Vince's praise on the radio and heard "The Reason Why". Personally, I've tried to preview the new single, but you oughta hear the way it sounds at 24 bps over a phone line! Sounds like some critter or other with bad hiccups.

Hey Joan..when do they air the 'Traffic Report' show??? I'll be sure to try to catch that...I've requested the single online twice now on Highway 16...this XM radio is great!!! It was funny, they played 'The Reason Why' about 15 minutes after Maegan went to bed last night...and I was so excited that I started hollering...LOL!!! Woke Maegan up and she came out of her bedroom asking what was going on...LOL!!! I said, 'you don't hear it'...it's Vince's new song...yippee!!! Even tho Bruce has heard it several times on Highway 16 already, he came into the living room to listen to it!!!

I see by the WXTU website they played "The Reason Why" twice today- first at about 1:48 P.M. and then during the at 5:51 P.M.- the second time was during the "drive home request hour".

Let's see, I have the times for PT, so I'll try to do my math to give you the times CT for Traffic Report - Saturday 1 p.m., Sunday 8 p.m., Wednesday 1 p.m. Those are the CT. I'm two hours earlier.
