MCA took out another full page ad in Billboard Magazine as a Congrats to Vince for his 19th Grammy. It's a beautiful color picture of him just as he slammed Kanye. Vince is laughing and looking at the "Rap Star" for a reaction.

Reggie - thanks for the info!
Personally - and we (you) can use any words we like - so no worries....but I would not use the word "slammed" to describe Vince "poking fun" at Kanye......I would call it "ribbing" or even "joking with"....but hey that my honest opinion.

From your perspective I'd say you're %100 correct. But coming from the fact that I know a lot of world class musicians who have ZERO respect for Mr. West as a "musician" & "mouthpiece" I think I was actually quite PC in my choice of words. If I told you what I actually thought of Mr. West on this board I'd be banned for life & beyond! Maybe Vince kinda put him in his place would have been a better choice of words.

If you go back and read all the articles/listen to the interviews of Vince talking about his remark to Kanye West, Vince meant it to be more like a playful teasing 'slam' on Kanye, because Vince said that he just couldn't let Kanye get away with saying that only he and Amy Winehouse were deserving of the award, and a few years ago Kanye and Gretchen Wilson were both nominated for Best New Artist, and from what Vince said in one interview was that Kanye made a remark about Gretchen...I don't know what the remark was, and Vince didn't say, but Vince did say that he never forgot the comments Kanye made towards Gretchen and between that and then Kanye's actions/words that night, Vince knew that he had to get back at him (Kanye).
