Thanks for posting that. Very cool story.

For those who don't get RFD and didn't see the Crook & Chase show, like me, scroll down and watch the video of Vince singing "Some Things Never Get Old". It must be up on You Tube now.

That is a relly neat story. I hope they get the opportunity for Vince to sign the pic. Does anyone know what kind of guitar it is? I could not make out the name even when I stopped the youtube video on the spot where the name of the guitar was written (on the end that has the tuners).
Grandpa could never be happier that Vince is the one who ended up using his old guitar!

Got my own answer on youtube....from a child of the former guitar's owner:

"Thanks for posting this video. It was good to hear someone such as Vince Gill play this guitar. Dad bought this Martin guitar in 1943 or 1944. I went to sleep many a night with a lump in my throat listening to Dad sing old sad songs while playing this guitar. I could not uderstand how he could sing such sad songs without crying. I remember "The Two Orphans", "The Blind Child," "Put My Little Shoes Away," "Mother's Bible," "The Black Sheep," and others"
