There was a family that there little girl has cancer.Well the family is doing all they can just to take care of her and all the medical bill's .They were worried about loseing there home.Well Simon paid there mortage off ,I think it was about $175,000.00. If you saw the show it would bring tears to your eye's.It was such a wonderful thing for him to do. It sure makes you see a different side of him. And he told them to give him a call if he could help them with something else.

I have always liked Simon . He does his job , on Idol , in a different way than the others

. He knows what he is doing when it comes to the contestants . It's wonderful he is also so charitable .

Simon is different, I'll grant you that, but I have always liked him. He has a 'silent' charitable heart. He gives a lot.

He has surprised me more than once on the Idol show - think he wants everyone to think he is bad but he has to call the talent as he sees it - he has a big stake in it. Sometimes I agree with his choices and many times I don't but he is the expert at picking talent that will make money.

The first few seasons of Idol, I really disliked Simon, but over time, my mind has changed completely. I think he gives the contestants honest feedback, and I get tired of hearing the audience boo him every time he speaks. On his personal side, I think he is a very kind man, and have seen him on things outside of Idol where he has left me with a very different opinion. He has become my favorite judge on the show. I think he has a soft side, but they just don't show it often.

I agree Mary Lou...but a big heart and a soft side don't make good tv. I think Simon is a lot nicer than they try to portray. I've seen other interviews with him and he seems like a good guy.

That's so true Mary. I think they try to make a big thing out of Simon's and Ryan Seacrest's relationship too. It was cute last week. One of the call in questions was if Simon would consider doing another take of his kiss with Paula, and he said he would consider it because she is a good kisser.

I think Simon is just a good 'actor'!! I really don't think he's as bad as he portrays as judge. Even some of the kids who have been voted off the show have said that Simon goes backstage to talk with them and reassures them that their 'career' in not over just because they were voted off. I like Simon.
