Most of you know were big movie people...We always go....

But....This movie Over The Hedge....yes its cute...but seriously its just a normal cartoon...I was really expecting more...It has a good story....My kids liked it...For adults, its just your run of the mill saturday morning cartoons (my hubby fell asleep in 2 parts)..lol.. rolleyes.gif ....There were some witty humour in parts....I love Wanda Sykes and many others..Some really big names lending their voices, which made me want to see it.....

Maybe I was expecting something like "Finding Nemo".......Shrek.......Madagascar......lol...and it wasn't neither....(only because it was the same makers)...

JMO.........I should have waited till it was out on video....I thinks "Cars" will be better....But don't take my word for it...Its cute for 12 and under....Or maybe 10 & under.... biggrin.gif

Spring has sprung, and Verne and his woodland friends awaken from their long winter’s nap to discover that a tall, green “thing” has mysteriously cropped up right through the middle of their home. Enter RJ, an opportunistic raccoon, who explains that the world beyond the hedge is the “gateway to the good life”.where peculiar creatures called humans live to eat, rather than eat to live. Suspicious and even a little jealous of RJ, the ever-cautious Verne wants to keep his blended family safely on their side of the hedge. But, proving the adage that one man's garbage is another man's--or rather animal's--treasure, the manipulative RJ tries to convince the woodland band that there is little to fear and everything to gain from their over-indulgent new neighbors. Eventually, RJ and Verne form an unlikely friendship as they learn to co-exist with--and even exploit--this strange new world called suburbia.

Thanks for sharing that with us charlene. I think we are going to pass on Over the Hedge and wait for it to come out on dvd. The boys really want to see Cars so that will be the next movie we will go see. They are really doing a good job promoting Cars...I just hope it lives up to the promotion.
Charlene
Your welcome Leah....I should have waited for Cars too.....I hope its good too...I think it will be...My son can't wait for it actually...He's very excited...lol...

I don't want to stop anyone from seeing this movie.. unsure.gif ..Maybe someone else will really enjoy it...But I just don't think it stood out as they promoted it.. Thats all...But if someone else said what I said...I would've stayed away till DVD time.... smile.gif

Charlene, I agree with your review on this movie. The characters were cute but, I thought the animated movie that came out earlier this year, "The Wild" had more laughs. But, my favorite character in OTH was "Hammy" the hyper little squirrel.

Charlene
Oh Yes TC....lol....Hammy had the most spunk, ever.....

I heard "The Wild" was better....
