Who's watching Survivor this season? Jeff Probst has labeled this as one of the best seasons ever because of all the blindsiding that's happening at Tribal Council. In clips, Jeff has also labeled Ozzy, Jason and James as three of the dumbest players ever in Survivor. Do you agree that these three are the dumbest players ever, and who would you label as the dumbest player ever (whether it be one of these three or someone else) and why?

1. James - In China, 2 idols, only three tribal councils in which to play them...why hold on to them for so long...USE THEM if you have them!

2. Jason - Maybe I should have labeled it as a tie between Jason and James, because Jason made several dumb moves this season...
a) he actually believed that the fake immunity idol he found was real, even though Eliza told him it was a fake one planted by Ozzy
cool.gif he made a deal during the immunity challenge last week that *could* have cost him the game had the girls not been gunning for Ozzy
c) he had the *real* hidden immunity idol last night but didn't play it...heck, even Eliza was smart enough to at least *try* to play the fake idol, even though she knew it was a fake.

3. Ozzy - He had possession of the hidden immunity idol but not only didn't he play it, but he never even brought it with him to tribal council!

Yes!! it has been driving me crazy. after james did that last year (the dumbest by far) and then ozzy......but jason??? man.......i don't understand the strategy of holding onto them! it seems much better to play it and not need it and still be there than to hold it and be kicked off.
they should all know better being fans and past players. i can not stand that woman who convinced jason.....the trainer. i hope james can stick around.
glad someone else is watching

Also the fact that after the HII has been played, a new one is re-hidden on Exile Island, so if a person does play it, they always have a chance of finding another one if they're sent to EI. Last season the HIIs weren't re-hidden so they were just out of the game.

Didn't you just LOVE Eliza's reaction when when Jeff was reading the votes for Ozzy...that had to be one of the best reactions of a jury member EVER! Usually most of the time the jury members just seem to sit there with no emotion or reaction to the vote, like they're actually expecting who's name(s) are going to be read by Jeff, but Eliza's reaction was priceless!
momlovesvg
ha....that's for sure......eliza is another i'm not soo fond of. but who knows what they're 'realy like' in the real world.

the one thing though is that i don't like how you have to play the hii before the votes are read......a year or two you could play it after......but i guess that woulda missed out on a lot of drama.
countrycrazy
I think the reason they changed it was because it was more dramatic to play it before the votes than wait until after the votes are read and find out if you've been voted out. This way you're taking a chance when you're playing it...if you play it and have the votes to be voted out, you're safe...if you play it and you're not being voted out, you lose it. Of course no matter if it's played before or after, if you have the votes to be voted out and you play it, you're always capable of being voted out next tribal council...that was the plan with Jason...if he would have played it and didn't go home they could have voted him out next TC if he didn't win II.

Have you guys seen the latest promos where they've re-named Survivor "Curse of the Idol" instead of "Fans vs. Favorites?" They're also talking about someone else getting evacuated...I know that James cut his finger somehow, and somebody else gets injured on tomorrow's episode...and Jeff says something like 'this is the strangest season ever.'

I think Erik has now officially won the title of dumbest Survivor ever. I was laugh.gif when the girls actually managed to talk him into giving up his Immunity Necklace...and I still can't help laugh.gif about it! Erik had made alliances with each of the girls, and the girls found out about it, so they told him that in order to redeem himself with the jury if he was going to have a chance at winning, he should give up his Immunity Necklace...they told him they'd be voting out Amanda, but he wanted to vote out Parv, so Natalie told him ok, and when it came down to the votes, Erik was the only one voting for Parv. And usually the show will only show 2 votes being written down, but tonight they didn't even make the audience guess who was being voted out because they showed all 5 of the votes and aired everyones comments....and even Parv said that Erik is now the dumbest Survivor ever.

OMG, that was the dumbest move I've ever seen. blink.gif

It will probably also go down as one of the most memorable Survivor moments of all time...right up there with Mike falling into the fire and having to be evacuated in Australia.

I've been watching Suvivor since the very first season, and even though I remembered some of those things in the questions Jeff asked, there was no way I could have figured out what season they were connected with. The only one I got right was the question about Mike falling into the fire.

Erik is by far the DUMBEST player ever, and I think the 4 girls should get the title of 'craftiest' in their quest to remain!!! Whoa, is that ice cream scooper really that dumb? Makes you realize WHY he is scooping ice cream! GEEEEZ, poor guy!!!!!!!!!
momlovesvg
awwwwwww....the poor guy! he seems kind of well....naive . he was surrounded by 4 women and he didn't know what to do!!
but man, what an idiot!! haha. it was sooo painful though i couldn't even watch! n o one has ever given up immunity......but i guess i can see where he ws coming from maybe.......he was so played by those women that he was trying to earn his trust back.
maybe instead of him being the dumbest......well he is......but maybe those women should be labeled the smartest!!
i just hope natalie goes next.....i can't stand her.

I could not believe it last night when Erik caved and gave Natalie the necklace. blink.gif It doesn't really matter to me who wins now, although I do agree, I don't want it to be Natalie. All of my favorite people are on the jury. It has been an interesting season, and full of surprises.

[size=4]I loved Erik's comment of going from Ice Cream Scooper Boy to ICS Man......those women played him for what he is, a naive young man. I hope that Cirie wins it all, she is the most level headed of the bunch and deserves to win. IMO.
countrycrazy
I just googled other Survivors who gave up the Immunity Necklace...on Survivor Amazon, Jenna gave up the Immunity Necklace to Heidi and Christy was voted off. And in Pearl Island, Burton gave the Immunity 'sword' to Rupert. But in both cases the person giving up the III knew they were safe.

Still haven't decided who I actually want to win, but Cirie has probably been playing the best when it comes to outwitting the competition. She was the one who came up with the plan to get Erik to give up the Immunity Necklace...and wasn't she also the one who planned Ozzy and Jason's demises? It was Parv who got the ball rolling with the women's alliance by getting to know Natalie, and at first Amanda wasn't really 'onboard' with the idea, but she soon got onboard with it, especially after Ozzy was voted off.

Did everyone watch the finale of Survivor last night? I would have liked if Jeff had asked at the Reunion show, if it had been Amanda and Cirie, who would have voted for Cirie. I was really surprised that Parvati won, but Amanda chose who she thought she had the best chance against at winning...of course she had the same advantage in China, picked the player who did the most lying and back-stabbing and she came in second there, too. Maybe future Survivors will learn from Amanda that if you want to actually win Survivor, take the player who didn't make the boldest move in the game (which in this season would have been Parv voting out Ozzy). The boldest move Cirie made was getting Nat to talk Erik into giving up the Immunity Necklace..not exactly as bold a move as Parv blind-siding Ozzy.

As for the last tribal council, I would have to say that there were a LOT of bitter people on that jury! Ozzy's speech to Parv probably ranks right up there with the 'snakes and rats' speech from Season 1.
momlovesvg
ozzie's speech was a hilite. i was shocked and appauled that parvati won. amanda seems like a genuinely nice person , while parvati...doesn't. i saw her on regis today and it was a painfull interview.
i was glad james won the hundred grand.
can't wait til gabon.

I recorded the Early Show onto DVD because I wanted to see Parv get her check and what else was said, but I haven't been able to access it...my DVD recorder has been giving me 'fits' the last few days...I think it needs to be cleaned, because it will read some disks, won't read others, and yet others I have to keep opening and closing and putting them in and out of the DVD recorder, so tomorrow I'm running over to Walmart and getting me a DVD cleaning disk. The DVD recorder was giving me some problems last week, but it was on Saturday that things really got bad...I was trying to record Grey's Anatomy from my DVD onto VHS for my father (I have a dual DVD recorder/VHS recorder), and the DVD recorder just *didn't* want to read the dang disk...I did finally get it working, but it's been acting up on me since, with tonight being another bad night.

I was also glad that James won the $100,000...Jeff said that James won it last season, also. I also wouldn't have minded had Ozzy, Jonathan, Cirie or Amanda had won it...they all seem like nice people and played a good game.

I also loved Amanda's comments at the Reunion show about how in the last 6 months Survivor has been her life, and when she was finally out of the game, she was still basically in the game because she had to learn how to trust people again after spending 78 days with other people who are all after $1 million and will do almost anything to win. And then there was Ozzy's comments when Jeff asked him if he and Amanda were still together and Ozzy said that he's not able to provide for her like he was able to on the island...I thought that was a cute answer.

I'm really surprise they're going back to Africa next season, but Gabon will be different than the last Africa Survivor, because they'll be on the coast of Africa near water, instead of in the middle of the safari.
